10-23 again, but the sunset this time. When I got out to the overpass looking to the north. Taken with the 16-35mm at 16mm... As the color was creeping in from the east. Taken with the 24-70mm at 35mm...

November 17, 2013 Severe Weather and Tornado Outbreak Can still see the absence of large trees on the southeast side of town here in Lebanon.

Cool. I should probably put on the blaze orange before going out to take cloud pic or ride the bike on the rail trail from now on.

What opening day?

I love it when little tiny trees show some spunk.

Fall 2023 Medium/Long Range Discussion

Aren't 60's shorts and t-shirt weather for someone from Minnesota at the end of November? -
Looks like today was 71 or 72 (depending on rounding) at KIND. While it was a couple degrees cooler today, the no wind made it nice out. But the difference between yesterday and today was the dewpoint. It was 10 degrees cooler and it made it feel like it was chillier than it was. Silly but I could feel a difference.

Does this qualify as an Autumnal image? Ripening ditch weeds, green grass with elm leaves and white ground spider webs.
-
Meanwhile it was 75 at KIND yesterday. Think I like living at 40N better.

Some impressive fog here. KIND is reporting 2 miles vis. KLAF is reporting 0.24 miles vis. Outside my window looks a lot closer to LAF conditions here. Glad it is Sunday and not a serious workday. A commute in this would not be fun.

I like the non-hardy palm looking out the window at the hardy palm.

10-22 The sunset looking southwest. Taken with the 24-70mm at 70mm... Looking northwest at the cirrus. Taken with the 24-70mm at 35mm... Back to the southwest for the color. Taken with the 24-70mm at 57mm...

You are getting tricked and treated today, huh?

Color from a different perspective. Up close and 1 to 1. Nothing like imaging a 35mm square to get the best close detail.

Looks like a low of 25 here this morning. Brrrrrr.

Growing season officially over at KIND with the temp at 30 degrees for the last ten minutes.

10-21 Just a normal sunset. Taken when I got out to the overpass looking north with the 24-70mm at 24mm... Looking west at sunset with the 24-70mm at 70mm... Looking south at the post sunset color with a nice half Moon hidden in there. Taken ith the 24-70mm at 42mm...

10-16 If I remember correctly this day as mostly overcast but around lunchtime, the sky broke for just an hour with some photogenic alto-cumulus and just bits of scud to make an interesting image. Taken with the 24-70mm at 24mm...

Nothing like browsing through sunshine images during drizzly overcast days. The sunset from 10-3. Taken with the 24-70mm at 33mm...

Time for weatherbo's asphalt on the driveway to disappear underneath a glacier, not to reappear until May.
