    I was half convinced I'd been lied to that it actually snows more than 3" here. It didn't help Louisiana friends were sending pictures of 6" snowfalls the last 2 years.

    Everyone told me to wait til my first CAD event. Now I understand why! I was expecting rain, or light snow to rain, but I'm colder than any model was showing right now sitting at 30 degrees and the precip doesn't look like it will let up anytime soon.

    Temp down to 30 here, I think I’ll get snow for a while at this pace. My son’s daycare stayed open too haha! This is like the perfect mix of unexpected snow and the models caving right before the event. And boy is it coming down.

    I think my real welcome came when I put down low snow totals in the "guess this year's snow totals" instead of high ones, even with all of the positives this winter has going for it.

    Expecting rain and getting 3-6" of wet snow would be freaking awesome.

    This is only my 3rd winter here. I have a question... I notice in the past two winters, there have been several big events that would disappear in the last 2-3 days of the model forecast, or significantly lower in total. Are there ever any non-events that blow up within 48 hours of lead time?

    Euro wasn't all that great with tropical this year either. GFS honestly was holding its own.

    I think I know now after 2 winters of living here not to get my hopes up, lol. Maybe this will be the year I actually experience a real winter? Looks like my area up in Germantown has a decent shot at this one. I have yet to get a 6” event and that’s what weather underground is calling for.
