  1. What surprised me the most from all of this besides the ridiculous rain amounts were the BIG TIME tornadoes associated with this. We all joke (well I do) about the EF0 and EF1 “spin-ups” but these were serious Midwest/Great Plains not screwing around tors
  2. Holy crap that’s incredible! Is John Woo directing this?
  3. Either NJ or Nova Scotia will get Larry. Bank on that lol
  4. Would the sun coming out make any difference with this? The rain is over for the moment and it’s partly sunny
  5. The sun just made a brief appearance here.
  6. That’s a better idea for a pilot show than anything on Netflix currently
  7. I’ve often theorized that the big time storm events like to get started a little earlier and I get that feeling with this one as well
  8. If we do go full Waterworld with this at least keep Kevin Costner away..
  9. Is this similar in any way to the TorCon system that the Weather Channel uses?
  10. I’m slightly surprised given the amounts and rates of rain predicted that thunderstorms aren’t in the forecast as well
  11. Is this literally a once a decade type of rain event as modeled?
  12. If it has spin ups wouldn’t that make it a tor’easter?
  13. It would be nice to see a warm front do as it’s told for once
  14. Did you just quote Ralph Richardson in the 1972 classic “Tales from the Crypt”?
  15. It’s too bad we can’t get a free derecho with every half foot of rain we’ve had this summer..Alas climate is a bad capitalist
  16. Flabbergasted but I probably shouldn’t be. It’s the right move
  17. The dispensary in Rockland MA is great. People are nice and they treat you right
  18. Apologies I failed “How to Embed 101” Eric Webb @webberweather · 4h Verbatim that z500a configuration isn't far off from potentially presenting a problem for either Atlantic Canada & perhaps New England if it were to shift west/amplify. Plenty of time to watch though.
  19. Remember we were bone dry just a couple of summers ago? It felt like it was never going to rain again (apologies to the Cape and up north)
  20. Speaking for only myself I love summer. When I eventually retire it’ll be to a warm climate with lots of storms in the summer.
  21. An EF2 a day makes the boredom go away….
