  1. Just guessing but maybe the yellow sac spider. Found in most parts of the world. Not a threat to people at all
  2. Yup. Some can bite and they all have venom to kill prey for sure but except for the black widow and the brown recluse there are no spiders in this country with the kind of venom to threaten people. And they are very shy spiders in general as well. And neither of them can be found in this part of the country. More the south and Midwest
  3. Yup it should be a sin to kill those. They are very useful and pretty to look at
  4. Sounds like orb weavers. They’re great at killing other bugs. Non venomous to humans
  5. I haven’t been in a legit storm since Gloria in ‘85. Bob was a complete non factor for me in interior eastern MA. Forty years without even a minimal storm is crazy.
  6. Thunder here in Braintree-land. Throw me a meso any old meso will do
  7. Pourin like the old man is snorin here right now
  8. FWIW Norton is watching it: Then early next week will have to monitor the tropics as GFS and ECMWF show a potential tropical system approaching from the south, although GEFS and EPS ensembles keep it well to the south through Tue.
  9. Anything to make the weather more exciting. I can’t endure another year of zilch to be excited about. Let it ‘cane
  10. Maybe the Carolinas have something to watch?
  11. I want a storm that’s extra tropical but identifies as a tropical storm
  12. Well the G female names are not without precedent up here. Gloria in ‘85 for example.
  13. I dunno. I’m not feeling a storm named “Humberto” is going to break our cane futility streak. Not ominous sounding enough
  14. It’s almost “low topped hailers” season
  15. Continuously boring in the weather dept going on three years now I could cry
  16. Remember a few years ago when NNE was drowning and we were practically dust in SNE? Weird how nature works
  17. Has the Holden storm from Saturday been EF rated yet?
  18. FWIW the tornado occurred a mile from where my niece lives…Also kinda interesting tidbit …Salisbury St in Holden that suffered extensive damage was also heavily damaged June 1953 as well. Very close to where Assumption College was located at the time.
  19. My niece lives in Holden. Fingers crossed she’s fine
  20. When I worked in a deli long ago, my boss used to say “Rotation is our salvation”. Probably not referring to tornadoes though
  21. Looks like we all get a railroad ticket to Tornado Town
  22. That eastern part of the watch is rather unusual?
  23. I’m surprised to be included in the watch
  24. Someone around here will break the tornado “drought” today/tonight
