  1. Quick hitters can still be disruptive;; Jan 87 was quick and dirty.
  2. Doesn't seem to be much interest here in this one Ski; could be people are burned out from the big one ( cleaning that 18 inches with the sleet on top was exhausting: I was still cleaning yesterday as the snow came of my solar panels in an avalanche....and buried the snow blowers ) so maybe a 1-3 type deal isn't exciting enough....plus its raining today ugh
  3. I'd say 13-14; because it had some beefy storms, while most of 2015 were light events IMBY.
  4. Thanks for your efforts, I usually go by your measurements as a rough guide to over here in Colonia, but this time I measured and it was 14.5 back around 3 pm; my gut tells me by eyeballing it we have more than 16 otg but I'm not going out tonight again to measure. Will check in the morning. Great storm that didn't quite measure up due to hours being lost to sleet ( as per usual ) but still the biggest event hands down in years. Cheers.
  5. It's been hours now. we are likely done with serious accumulation here. Precip isn't heavy and what falls is mostly sleet. Take the 12-15 we got. It was a good storm, but it was mostly over for us by early afternoon. Some areas stayed snow and for longer. Some never got going good. Way it is.
  6. We will need to get crankin and soon to hit 20; doable but it needs to actually start snowing at a decent clip again. Can't complain though eh? Lots 0f 12-15 in our area and into SI.
  7. In Jan 2018 the bands were stopping at the river. The same may be true now. Very light sleet right now; even if it changes to snow it is too light to do much. Haven't looked at radar. We need some heavier bands if we are gonna add to this over here.
  8. Can't get it goin much here either; mix and dry slot, if they are in the picture at all, will always find a way to sneak in at my location. I expect it. It may have to do with Raritan Bay, I don't know.
  9. It's been over for some of us for awhile already.....hasn't snowed here in hours. Heavy then light sleet. Dry slot too. But we had a great go of it for several hours this morning, where it came down heavy.
  10. Its possible; I have close to 15 in Woodbridge and it stopped snowing hours ago; been sleet since around noon. If not for that I would think 20 was a real possibility.
  11. It is sleeting over here in Woodbridge again. The sleet is persisting here. Not sure why. We laid down an impressive amount before the sleet though.
  12. You were worried about sleet yet it seems west of the Hudson had the bulk of the sleet. Never can tell...
  13. Car insurance will cover it, after a 1000 deductible ( at least thats how it is in NJ ). My wife once got hit by a guy speeding away from a cop; the township wouldn't pay for the damage; said the cop was doing his job pursuing a car jacking. Had to go thru insurance.
  14. Seeing some lighter snow again over here; wife let the dog out to poop; he wasn't satisfied with the path I cleared so he went on the pavers; went out to clean it up, couldn't find it; covered already in the last 20 mins.
  15. It was hours long here in parts of NJ. Would have gotten close to 20 without it. Measured several areas and got between 14-15.
  16. I think we are done in CNJ. I don't see that filling in. 10-15 is good storm. Looks like Trenton area didn't get the goods this time. I'm on the edge of that dry slot now. Snow stopped around noon or so and changed to sleet, never changed fully back.
  17. Not far from you. Maybe it will flip back. Insane winds now. Stopped hearing pinging but no flip to snow. Precip seems to have stopped.
  18. The sleet seems focused in CNJ; not what was expected. I think you may top out higher than us; It is sleeting quite hard; we are losing big bands to sleet. It is quite persistent now.
