So glad I stopped investing in storms- people need to accept that this is a 10/11 repeat, which means 1) it will snow everywhere but the Mid-Atlantic, and 2) every forecasted storm here will bust.

So... bad news. I was at my file limit on this site and deleted all my stored pictures, not realizing that doing that also apparently deletes the pictures within your posts. So none of the previous leaderboard images work now. So I'm just reposting the last one. (I know there's more snow from the PNS reports, but I'll update tomorrow). Good news though- I found an easier way to compile my spreadsheet every time. Airport totals will now also be displayed at the top within the image (don't ask me why I never thought of doing this before).

This has been all rain here except on a few metal surfaces like railings there's some light ice accumulation. We can't even do an ice storm properly here now (which I'm thankful for, at least).

I’m still laughing about DCA getting snow deleted- when your airport sucks so bad you actually have negative snow accumulations now.

I actually have videos of the January 94 ice storm- my brother and I are attempting to sled, and my parents are sliding all over the place trying to walk in the yard. No one can get up the hill to slide, we just jump on the sled and slide across the flat areas of the yard. It’s pouring freezing rain in another video with everything encased in ice.

I was growing up in Glen Burnie for the '94 ice storms- I know there were several, but the big one for us was the January one followed by the "Big Chill of '94" which made it impossible to clear the ice or even leave the house. I was off school for almost two weeks. The big one in Southern MD and the Eastern shore was in February, which was even worse from what I read (it actually got a federal disaster declaration).

I agree with *some* of the stuff you say about model failures, so please post whatever your method is. I’ve seen you make several posts alluding to this “method”, so I would like to see if it stands up to scrutiny. Not trolling- I’m genuinely curious.

A surprise 1.5” here- my act of self-sacrifice in the panic room yesterday has already paid dividends to my fellow southern Marylanders.

Holy crap what happened? I just woke up and looked out my window to find everything covered in snow! Definitely more than a half inch that was in my forecast!

Is it snowing in St. Mary’s or is that all virga? It’s like a force field preventing it from advancing into central Calvert
