For the first time in awhile, it didn't kill me to look at the eps in the long range. Hopefully we can score something towards the end of the month.

I predict 0.61" of liquid for my area tomorrow. MAYBE a couple sleet pellets to start.

Thanks Nut and Daxx for the info!
You bet! I can get even more specific. State road 96 east of Worth and Townline road southeast of Lorraine are in my opinion the best places on the Tug hill for snow. I’ve been to just about every spot on the hill and I consider this area the best.

Awesome Nut! I am glad you experience and see winter. Would love to see pics. Anyways, I may have to chase a snowstorm at some point. I'm going to wait a couple of more weeks likely but if next week signals are as bad as this weeks. I'll be on a plane somewhere to see winter!
No need to get on a plane. Just drive 5 to 6 hours north. Go to the Tug Hill. I was just there for a week and there is plenty of snow. Stay on the west side of the hill. The town to look for is named Worth. From there to 8 miles south of the town they have 30 inches on the ground. I used airbnb for housing.

I will take the 12z Euro for where I'm gonna be next week. Most if not all of it will be real snow Bubbler. I'm sure it will be different at 00z.

So it's real and it's spectacular?
The real part is up for debate. The spectacular part...absolutely!

I have always fallen on the fake side of it because I based my thought on precip being formed through interaction of pressures and rising air vs. cold air blowing over a warm lake and it dropping off the after effect on the other side. I consider LEK a phenomenon vs. an actual precipitation event though I fully understand both sides of the argument.
It might be fake but it sure looks and feels the same.

Hope you get some fake snow.
Lol! I've been going up there for fifteen years. Nothing fake about it at all. Yea... It settles but ours melts.

That's what I'm seeing as well.
Any LE next week for you with the cold front?
Way too earlier for that call as well, but the air following the front looks awful dry. Im sure it will snow at some point up there. I will be there a week.

Do you see any chance with the southern stream staying beneath us in the 2/7 - 2/8 time frame?
You are talking a week out...so a lot can change. If I have to answer this right now, I would say no. I don't believe we will have a clean track. Too many things going against it. Give it two or three days and maybe we have a totally different set up. I will be on the Tug Hill next week and even there looks iffy.

Looks like whatever cool down we get mid to late week is temporary and we flip back to AN within a couple of days. You can almost follow the ridging in that graphic.
I don't know about you...but I sure could use a long range snowfall map!

That NS wave appears to set off quite a bit of precip in the western 2/3 of PA during Saturday night now...on the GFS and I think last nights Euro. Most shows as rain on GFS but that is subject to change.
I think that piece of energy is our best shot at seeing something wintry this weekend. Mags area would probably benefit the most, but i will take what ever it gives us. Hopefully its still there or improves in future runs.

Not near dead. Daxx or no daxx we are tracking this one to the edges of the universe. Just doing a quick PBP with no maps because I am busy.
Keep up the good work Bubbler! To me there isn’t much to discuss. It’s been bad, it is bad, and it looks bad! We may luck into something. Hopefully things change but I am not holding my breath. I hope I wasn’t too negative. Lol

That’s encouraging! Hopefully I switch back as well.
Right now the sleet is pounding away.
@Itstrainingtime , I just measured.3 of sleet, to got along with the 1.5 of snow, which brings me to 1.8 frozen for the event so far. I only need .2 more for your forecast to verify here !
Nowhere close to that around my house. Good for you!

My temperature started to climb once the sleet ended. Snow and sleet total for me is 0.7".

You still have me beat. I'm at 9.3" for the season currently.
Lol! Not by much. I have 9.9" here. I'm sure I will go over10. Sleet coming down heavy know with flakes mixing in. Euro gives north central pa snow next weekend. Hopefully we can adjust some. Not a lot of cold air to work with.

A nice steady sleet falling. Not even a half inch here.

My temp is up to 28.4! Ceiling really raised the last hour, it's starting to thicken again now.
I was in Mt joy an hour ago and I could see sun through the clouds. There is definitely a thicker coating there.

Only 0.1" on first round. Temperature up to 25.

Flathead we got snow coming tomorrow. It’s time chill with the snow measurement stuff! You can get pissed of at me all you want. I tried to be nice to you, but you are shitting up the thread!

HI THERE DAXX .THIS IS MENT TO TRY TO BE MORE OPINION THAN RANT. NO ELEVATION HERE THE YELLOW BRECHES IS ALMOST IN MY BACK YARD WHAT HAS HAPPEND IS THAT THEY ARE TAKING THERE NUMBERS FROM PUBLIC AND SCOIAL MEIDIA. MY QUESTIONS ARE HOW DO THEY PICK WHO TO TAKE THEM FROM HOW DO THEY KNOW ITS CLOSE TO ACCURATE. HOW DO THEY KNOW IT WAS DONE CORECTLY HOW DO THEY KNOW ITS HONEST AND MORE. I COULD BE DEAD WRONG AND WONT MIND BEING EDUACTAED BY YOU GUYS BUT MY GUESS IS THEY DONT. I BET THEY TAKE THE MESERMENT BASED ON WHAT THE MASSES SAY . NOT THAT I USE A BORD OR ANYTHING BUT THE MASSES DONT KNOW HOW ARE WHEN . 99% OF THE POPULATION DOSE NOT KNOW HOW QUICK IT COMPACTS AND MELTS AND MESURES WAY TO LATE OR UNDER OR TO CLOSE TO THERE HOMES OR BUILDINGS. THEN UNFORTUANILTY BECAUSE IT GETS POSTED ON SOCIAL MEIDEA IT BECOMES THE WORD . THEN FROM THERE THE PEOPLE THAT SAY THEY LOVE SNOW BUT CANT EVEN STEP OUT SIDE TO MESURE EVERY HOUR OR TWO THEN TAKE THAT MISINFROMATION AT ITS WORD AND ACT LIKE THEY TOOK THE MESURMENT THEM SELF . THEN IT MAKES IT HERE AND THE GUY THAT WAS OUT AND ABOUT WITH HIS MESURING STICK FOR YOU THE WHOLE EVENT GETS MADE TO LOOK LIKE A ASS. I TRY NOT TO BRING IT UP TO MUCH BUT THOSE OF US WITH ASD THE NUMBERS ARE EVERY THING. BAD NUMBERS BAD COLECTIVE. NOT MANY OF NATURES DETAILS GET BY ME WHEN I STEP OUT THE DOOR. I TRUST MY BRAIN AND DEDACATION MORE THAN THE MASSES ON FAKEBOOK OR A LAZY STATE WORKER WITH A BORD. CELL PHONE AND COMPUTER LAZIENESS IS WHAT I CALL.
Yea...I don't even have a Facebook. Never will. I see you live near the Yellow Breaches. One of my favorite streams to fish. I usually fish between Mt Holly and Williams Grove.
