    @daxx What are you thinking?

    I'm  thinking our area is lock for at least 8 inches. I'm sure we mix for several hours. What we don't want is the dreaded dryslot. Sitting for hours waiting and hoping the ccb comes to save us is agonizing. I know people hate the hrrr but I think it is great for trends.  We usually see small shifts east with heaviest precip in these setups.  Between Harrisburg and Williamsport I  think  are golden.

  2. We all really need to let last Winter go.  I'm not saying forget it, because it will happen again. I think we should not take every model run to heart as well this year. I know its hard not to get sucked into evey model run good or bad, but not doing that is a lot easier on the mind and soul.  My thinking is we will have more opportunities this year. Will it be a blockbuster winter? I don't think so, but there is always the possibility.  It only takes one big event to change everything. I'm going with 22-32 for MDT.  I hope everyone is doing well.

    Yea, its a tough situation and frankly if you take his situation of going to the beach I doubt anything happens unless someone died or at least was in the hospital.  When someone dies all bets are off even down to the Life Insurance company coming after someone.  So it depends on the order we are under.  I actually had not researched it that much but if it clearly says it is ones responsibility to self isolate for 14 days after leaving the state then a case may have merit.  Even what I do in going to MD to grocery shop could be taken as an offense if I then go into a PA store and infect someone especially if they end up in the hospital.

    This is crazy.  Eventually everything will have to open.  So when it does will you still be held responsible even then?  So if I get covid in Maryland come back to pa and infect someone I may be in trouble, but if I’m from pa and infect someone from pa I’m fine.  Is the covid in Maryland a different strain?

    As long as I see a snowflake here or there, Friday night or Saturday I'll be happy!

    I'm not downplaying flakes or even a heavier snow shower between Friday night or Saturday in lsv.  I'm just not buying some of the snowfall maps that have been posted for our area.

  5. Rain changing to snow in May is going to be difficult for us in lsv.  That is even difficult in January sometimes. I'm sure for some up north they will see an accumulating snowfall. It seems the trend this year was to have the cold chase precip.   It would be nice to have cold air in place before the precip moves in.

    I think that I am turning over a new leaf !

    I just commented on current conditions and didn’t mention the “s” word!

    This summer when there is no current snow maps to post will you be posting maps from the past?  There is nothing like looking at a snow map when it's 100 degrees and a dewpoint of 80. Maybe I'm the one who turned a new leaf. Lol!

    The above map was for rainfall from 9am yesterday through 9am this morning. For those west of the Suskie everything you had before 9am isn't included. That's why you're seeing the heavier amounts further east.

    It shows where the heavier area of precip was, but does not show correct observations they sent out in there statement.

    You (any) really think the fetch off the bay really plays in?  Serious question as i've thought that during winter storms, but pooh poohed it cause it was never suggested by anyone else.

    I never really looked into it. There is something that enhances rainfall and thunderstorms seem to intensify as they move over York and Lancaster counties. I wish I could say the same for snow.

    I saw that on radar and I'm stunned...it is a picture perfect day here. There are just a few small cumulus clouds but it is 95% blue sky. Current temp is 64.

    I know a lot of people are hating the weather this spring, but I rank it in the top 5 best springs ever. The ones I rank above this one had snow here.
