  1. Long duration big dog going non-stop during the daytime hours. GHD 2 for example.
  2. That's a rather improbable scoop and score for that trough.
  3. 900 homes? 15-20 minute job on the media timeline
  4. Very high population density and popular with retirees. I imagine we will see significant fatalities, but hopefully “hundreds” is an overestimate
  5. PDS flash flood emergency, don’t see that combo too often. This is a FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY for South central Sarasota county, southeast Manatee, northwest Desoto, Hardee, and northwest Highlands counties. This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. SEEK HIGHER GROUND NOW!
  6. Can see the wind shift coordinating with the surge drop. https://tidesandcurrents.noaa.gov/stationhome.html?id=8725520 May have shifted just enough to pile the water elsewhere
  7. From the flooding impacts section - 10ft - The Barrier Islands are overtopped with 5 to 10 feet of water. Much of Cape Coral and Harlem Heights under 1 to 5 feet of water. More homes along the Caloosahatchee River, Orange River, and portions of Palm Beach Road are flooded. Portions of Bayshore road north of the Caloosahatchee River under 1 to 3 feet of water.
  8. Twitter photo supposedly from Cape Coral
  9. Not sure how high this cam is mounted, but SurgeCam9 is being overtaken by waves.
  10. That cam has been getting blasted non-stop, and based on current motion may continue to be in the eyewall for some time.
  11. Looks like it fell down? East is still going.
  12. No idea how the Periwinkle & Casa Ybel West feed on Sanibel is still up, but the water is halfway up the street signs and still seemingly pounding in.
  13. Feed is back up, and the water has seemingly risen another foot while it was down.
  14. Live feed from Cape Coral lock showing the water surging into the canal system.
  15. Looks like only Casa Ybel East and West are still up, everything else appears to be down.
  16. Posting the link again. https://www.mysanibel.com/live-street-cams?utm_campaign=SanCapChamber&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=SanCapChamber# The surge has risen several feet in the past few minutes at Periwinkle & Casa Ybel West
  17. These feeds are nightmare fuel. The water is rising so fast.
  18. Tough to be sure, but it sure looks like you can see the surge advancing up Tarpon South Rd on the Periwinkle & Tarpon South feed.
  19. Starting to get a bit glitchy with a lot of buffering. The end may be coming soon for the feeds that are still up.
  20. Sanibel getting rocked with high winds on the webcams that are still live.
