    Wind starting to pick up here, luckily all the ice is gone but there may be damaged branches that will find their way down.

    I'm not sure what you do as a forecaster right now. Day after day prior to the storm we have excellent model agreement across the board showing a major, perhaps historic, storm. Even if you slow play the hell out of the messaging, eventually you have to alert the public to the potential. The modeling has been somehow horrendous but in lockstep.

    A good amount of melting has already occurred here, with many trees down to just a minor glaze

    My tippy bucket apparently froze over very early in the storm, so no idea how much liquid I received. My power has popped back on with 100,000+ still in the dark, so must have been an easy fix. Fog and temps above 32, let’s hope wE melt enough to avoid more power failures.

    Finished with .25” of ice today, trees and power lines down everywhere. Significantly more impactful than I assumed it would be

    Outside getting the generator started and it is eerily quiet with the occasional loud crashing of a tree branch coming down
