  1. Assuming warm lake has some sort of warm nose that partially melts flake?
  2. Noticed this with Lowville station too. They have like 1.5 to date right now. I've been here since before Thanksgviing and on my snowboard i've measured 5.9 so far. This is what I have 11/15- .8 11/19 .3 11/22 .5 11/26 1 11/28-29 1.7 11/29-30 .8 12/4 -.8
  3. They stated in their Twitter account that we are approaching the 1 year anniversary of it
  4. Yea there is a potent jet extension right now which I believe is being fueled by the mjo stuck in the maritimes
  5. Lol, well I’m up there Sunday. Going to take the Low out of Lowville
  6. I can’t say anything. I’m from Delco in southeast Pa. I pronounce water “wooder”
  7. I knew i saw a 400+ reading before, it was hooker, but back in the 1970s lol. So may not help much. They had 466" in 1977
  8. I follow her on twitter and I know a couple of those years she had over 400
  9. Lol. I was looking at the web cameras on state street in lowville around 7am and you could see accumulation in the grass and on car tops.
  10. not sure if this was posted, but this is probably the best annual snow map I have seen so far
  11. Weeklies looked fine, nothing showing big bitter cold blasts, but nothing saying torch. Generally normal temps
  12. Reason why I'm moving up there. I realize my area gets shadowed, but give me a 2-3' lake effect powder keg and I'll be in glory
  13. Think one of the reasons why we lost the better +pna look that models had a few days ago is because they are picking up on another big pac jet extension. The jet extension is trying to push against the ridge along west coast flattening it out.
  14. Reason why it wraps in milder air is because the system closes off, so you basically shut off your cold air drain into the system. Can see it on the h5 images. you have a full latitude trough that then cuts off and mild air works in. So the only cold air with the system is under the h5 low that is closed off. Now you don't close the low off, then you can drain cold air into the system.
  15. Best shot would be for retrograding low being caught under the block ala 6z gfs
  16. Yea there is a northern chateau camera there the vst groomer with an elev of like 1800
  17. Lowville the town and well my elev is 830-880. If I didn’t get downsloped off tuggies I’d say I’d probably be close to Fulton. But Fulton has uninterrupted moisture with no mtn shadows. Fultons issue would be marginal events being on Ontario plain would be my guess
