    Yup, sand has more pore space because the particles are all unique so they can’t interlock like clay, thus creates macro pores. What people don’t know is, clay actually has more pore space, but it’s micropores compare to macro pores that sand has. Thus sand drains faster, but due to that is very low in fertility and leaches out much faster

    Those kuchera maps are meh. They are heavily based on temperatures aloft. While that does matter, you also need solid omega within the dgz. That’s where it really produces. I’ve seen piss poor snow totals with temps in upper teens due to lack of lift with heavy riming

    That’s not the lead low. The lead low in your picture is up by Burlington vt. Frame prior you can see it better right over Rochester. Can see the southerly flow out ahead then northerly flow behind on wind barbs

    Some light snow in Lville, if I can grab a half inch to freshen up the 3" of crust on the ground it would be nice.
