Front must have stalled. Was up in Carlisle and felt it come in. Sitting outside in downtown Frederick now for dinner and it is still humid.

82 feels like 91 after the clouds burnt off. Headed up to watch the younger Ms J’s convocation at her college in PA

That storm was on my doorstep then shifted off to the NNE. Only to now expand to my NW with not a drop here. Mind you the thunder and lightning has been crazy!

The 70/270 interchange in Frederick is getting hammered! Reports of stopped traffic and cars off on both shoulders.

I am under that warning over here. But the main part of the storm slipped literally to my East. The thunder is loud though with a lot of lightning. Mr. Jones is trying to get home from MoCo on 28 because 270 is just getting hammered from Germantown all the way up to Frederick. The younger Ms. J who is up at school in Carlisle PA has been sitting under a hose. She is in the dining hall and no one can head to their dorm it is raining so hard.

66 and cloudy. This cooler weather caught me off guard dinner wise. Doing Pork Souvlaki. But a good homemade Mac N Cheese sounds good right now.

So we got that cell moving towards Baltimore blew up here earlier. The Ms. J’s are at Merriweather right now and looks like they will have to deal with it there. Have told them to get under cover.

The wind has really picked up here over the last 30 min. Actually howling through the wind tunnel behind my row of townhomes on the SW side of downtown.

For the event I am sitting at 4.10” so far. Wind has really picked up here. Glad Mr J works from home on Fridays. That drive down to Rockville today will not be fun.

That cell that came across the Potomac from the NW merged with the one to my south that was heading North. While we got a heck of a lightning display only picked up about .25”. Got my hopes all up only to watch what always happens in my area. Brunswick got hammered though.

Oldest Ms J alerted me to look at radar. Decent rain incoming.

Just caught the northern edge of that warned cell here. Got a nice .30” with more filling in behind. After last nights .75” sitting at 1.72” so far for the event. It was soupy enough here glad we got something. And some nice rumblers are the cherry on top.

Drought observation. I think it is bad where I live. Was at a horse show yesterday out near Bluemont VA. We were letting the horses “graze”. Put that in quotes because they had to paw at the ground to expose the grass roots and were eating those. There is nothing worth any substance above that. The amount of hay that is having to be thrown this summer is equal to the winter when the grass has died off. It is bad. And don’t even ask me about hay prices.

Yep line kind of weakened out. At this point will take what we can get. Actually just got a nice CG strike out my front.

I am watching it also, seems to be heading NE but there is some stuff slightly West. Will see if it holds up to here.
