  1. Yea, not a forecast at all but not every day a 12-20" qpf map shows up. Cannot tell which shadow of yellow we are actually under and no soundings make it a guess.
  2. TT does not have soundings availability for the Icon but the stall scenario, whether for us or south, is a huge deal if it happened. That is Lee/Agnes territory then. The only way my place gets into an actual flood is if something comes over the mountain (not impossible per some info I read) but my basement will not like double digit rain. The flood possibility here is the lake at Fort Ritchie. Apparently there is a scenario where that lake could flood my house in PA.
  3. Icon stalls the low. Life threatening out this way.
  4. Travel spot weather update. Sunny and 88 in downtown Palmyra.
  5. No power for a long, long time it sounds like. Seems like the boat rescues are west of NOLA. Laplace.
  6. Flood rescue in NO again. Levees failing again? Crazy if some of these reports are true.
  7. Now, now hold on...the Blizz and Losetoa model had me in the big snows but I do not like where these adjustments are headed. Pretty soon Mag will be be partly cloudy and the 'Ville is jsut flurries.
  8. Ej set the hot dog record (unofficial) in the Ida thread.
  9. May be a reporting issue as the eye is well north and east of houma proper.
  10. It's amateur hour over on the main IDA thread. Seeing posts saying 'I was not expecting" or "It's going to do this" from people who not qualified to be making definitive statements about anything of this magnitude.
  11. Not sure how much he makes in a year. I always joke with him and say I got screwed having to pay for his crop since it was Trump bucks that paid for it. That is how I got to know the hydrologist based out of Hagerstown...when he was up here doing property surveys. Speaking of USGS, here are the current PA stream levels. We have gone back up to the normal area. Lots of much above in Eastern LSV.
  12. My neighbor (farm) got about $400K in drought relief last summer so he took the whole thread to the bank. He lost his whole crop.
  13. IDA looks to me likes it could be getting ready to take her turn "toward us" as it starts to head more North and eventually North East....will see how much of NOLA/Suburbs gets into the eye wall area. Only west side at this point is up for possible it seems.
  14. Yea, good thing they did not get it again this week. I think parts of Lanco are close to 10" for this week but going off memory on that.
  15. We we officially in drought two weeks ago. It was lifted this week after the 2" from Fred and then last week was the wettest week LSV wide in a long time. I know a lot of the Capital area missed out and other small areas like around Cash but lots of people booked 3-7 inches over the last 7 days.
  16. Those of you mowing twice a week will need to strategically plan out your activities to get that in :-).
  17. Have to convert from Golf to Water Polo. I think someone is going to get that much.
  18. Depending on how long it survives, this web cam may have some dramatic views. Water was no where to be seen when I turned it on and its now several feet deep. That water tower may be the only thing left. https://www.severestudios.com/storm-chasers/john.humphress2.html
  19. Yea, my mistake. I was reading "guesses". I do see that they are finding 170+ just above the surface. Scary. And there are lots of people there unfortunately.
  20. I was thinking the upped it to Cat 5 at 160. Maybe that wa sjsut people guessing on the weather board base don recon flights. Its going to leave a lot of destruction. Edit-I see now the official number is still 150.
  21. And as shown with Fred and pretty much any tropical system, if a direct hit the high end totals are probably too low.
