Depending on how long it survives, this web cam may have some dramatic views. Water was no where to be seen when I turned it on and its now several feet deep. That water tower may be the only thing left.

Yea, my mistake. I was reading "guesses". I do see that they are finding 170+ just above the surface. Scary. And there are lots of people there unfortunately.
I was thinking the upped it to Cat 5 at 160. Maybe that wa sjsut people guessing on the weather board base don recon flights. Its going to leave a lot of destruction.
Edit-I see now the official number is still 150.
Could end up being one of the worst case scenarios for NOLA. Taking the eye direct is bad but this is just about as bad. Hospitals are at capacity with Covid and now this. And who knows, NOLA could still take a full direct hit. It's a 'Cane and does what it wants. Shows the importance of not taking model or NHC data and making definitive predications.
Yea, it's a great tracking event and something people talk about every year RE: remember Lee, etc. Hopefully it's a good track but little flood situation. I think training should cancel any date plans just in case.
Your news is bad news for many in the Central and Eastern LSV as well as Cashtown's golf course. Many in the western LSV and just west of the LSV will welcome the bountiful rain! Voyager wants 10" or bust.
If you get no rain between now and Wed you should be pretty dry but think you may get rain tomorrow. Have not looked much recently so do not quote me on that.
You have been pretty unlucky. Much of the LSV had a wet week. This is just mid week on. If I had a map for all week it would be one of the wettest weeks for the LSV all year. (Except those like you that missed out....turnabout like you said).
Storm petered out here but I did get some decent rain. 4 days out of 6 it has rained this week. Only two were significant though. Golf course looks to get wet.
Interesting stat so I looked it up for MDT since last year was the hottest on record and comparing to this year....they have had 32 so far this Met Summer and 35 last Met summer so they will fall short of last year it appears. I went back to 2019 and they had 28. Sort of why I think the word heat wave is basically worthless these days if 3-4 days in the low to mid 90's is a heat wave. Close to or more than one third of most summers is that hot. Urban development and climate change (opinion) make reaching 90 far too easy now. 2017 with 12 is the last time MDT did not have 20 or more days 90 or over in Met Summer but Sept 2017 saw 3 days above 90 at the end of the month. 2016 had 34 for Met summer.
Grabbed the last 4 days of your readings (I think this is you, your link is still not working). Decent summer week. A bit humid. I do not consider my station official but we only got to 86 the first two days of this period and only 89 the last. My lows were quite close to yours in the low to mid 60's. A cool attitude in the altitudes. This in Monday-Thursday.
