MDT was not that hot daytime yesterday coming in with an 85. It's their night time lows that seem weird. They were 4-8 degrees higher than most of their surrounding ob's at 8PM last night.

The Florida of PA. LOL. But only at night. They did manage to struggle down to 69 but I foresee a 70+ night coming this week. We got down to 62 last night.

Not thinking there were any Allegiant flights to HGR today. I was allowing for a 2 degree deviation from the HRRR's LSV 83 forecast so 85 to 81. Anyone that hit 86 or above (plenty near the Burg) were not forecast correctly. I did notice the HRRR had Western Franklin hitting 85 today so it did well there was well. Was concentrating on the LSV on my first post.

Time to grade the HRRR. Like almost every warm day this year it was ok for the areas "not too close to Harrisburg" with the exception of the lower lands of Franklin and Perry which also heated up more than forecast today. Mostly low 80's for the York and Lanco areas away from Harrisburg...including down into Maryland. If we ever figure out what is going on for the Capitol Region, it will be interesting.

Now the question, what is wrong with Josh Allen. He was quite off today. Maybe first game jitters.

We struggled up to 81 today. A banner day for outside with the breeze and low to mid 60's DP's.

A classic case of a game not being decided at half time. Bills coaches played a large role in their second half flub but steel offense came out to play.

Steelers have the Bills coaching staff trying to pull it out for them.

Nothing has been as inept as the Bills 4th down decisions. Tyler Bass can hit from 60 unless he is injured or some other unknown issue.

Good call for your area. Just peeked at Wundermap and some areas on the I81 and Route 15 corridor are in the mid 80's. Most of YorkCo and Southern Lancaster again struggling to get high temps...80-82 there. Maybe cloud related today. Did not check Sat.

GFS and CMC both backing down the extreme highs past Wednesday (even more than this AM) but gross lows still.

O-Line not having a great day. Cloud cover has pushed it down to 79 here. Suspect we go back up again but we seem locked in to low 80's now.

Yes, quite breezy here as well. With the cloud cover its a very nice day out. Still 80. Steelers Defense looks great so far.

We just hit 80 here but quite cloudy all of a sudden. Cirrus stuff (and some haze like @Streak mentioned).

HRRR actually only has highs of 82 for all the LSV. I said 82-84 to account for the extra we seem to keep seeing south of Harrisburg. 3K was 82 as well. Edit-Newest HRRR has 83 now. The thing to watch for is that it agrees with the fast rise but holds between 81 and 83 for 4 hours this afternoon.

And I added to my post since you saw it but every station I checked had risen by 10 or more degrees since early lows except MDT and Cap City. So strange....

MDT was 70 at that same point. But you hit 54 last night and have risen 16 degrees since. MDT hit 64 last night so they have only risen 6. The sun must be 10 degrees hotter over you so far today :-). I am starting to wonder if they do have equipment issues. York down to 56 last night but up to 73 at 10AM. LNS down to 60 and up to 72 at 10AM.

Defintely going to break 80 here today. 68 at 930. Feels warmer than yesterday. At least the 0 and 6z runs pulled back on the heat a bit next week. Hrrr suggests 82 to 84 for most today in the lsv.

Well I went scanning for some 12Z good news and did not find any. A lot of 80's coming up. EC has 5-6 days in a row with probably a 90 or two in the hot spots. GFS and CMC not nearly as hot. EC does take temps back to normal for the last several days of the run but not really "nice". Normal highs and lows several above normal. Guessing the EC is overdone for most but 80's are still 80's.
