  1. We get one more snow event in the beginning of May and we may not need snow vernacular re-training next November. It will still be there in memory.
  2. Yea, they have been warm (at more than one level) all day. I would not have had flake one if the AM HRRR was right. So, its depiction of a beatdown NE of Harrisburg, tonight, may be right or may be very wrong. LOL
  3. I think someone around PAweather. Blizz or Voyager is going to get several inches overnight.
  4. You definitely outdid me. I had the goods but am melting some as well so we are not that sweet over on this side.
  5. Precip does go into a lull for a bit, on the HRRR, until the SLP starts to ride north and intensify. Whether rain or snow, it gets heavy again tonight as we get into the forming shield.
  6. If the low proceeds as progged and gets to your South East while you are still in the shield, tonight, you will be getting snow IMO. And some of those pics I posted are a good 30-45 min south of the MD line believe it or not. Within 45 min of DC.
  7. With apologies to Voyager, all the LR Globals suggest snow chances are not done for PA after this week. This is the middle ground depiction between the crazy cold GFS and the more moderate Canadian.
  8. I just posted the pic. I thought it was SW of Frederick. But I know that area and it is indeed not that high in elevation. I would have guess 400-500'. Reported on the MA thread.
  9. Predicted 18Z temps next Saturday for MDT. An almost 30 degree spread. Some precip induced. GFS-45 Euro-63 CMC-73
  10. We are seeing roads covered into Central MD South of Frederick (low elevations).
  11. Some very heavy snow as the CCB forms later this evening on the HRRR. It has been off on the R/S line all day so took liberty a bit to the East.
  12. We have about 1.5" here. The sun and temps are melting some otherwise we would be up in your area. I am hoping it keeps snowing until close to dark so we can have some left tomorrow AM and have two days with snow on ground in April. Plus, some people are going to get additional accums tomorrow...could be an I80 watch day.
  13. The NWS gave up on their forecast. Wish other parts of the LSV could get in it but about 1/3 of the LSV, including far southern Areas, are scoring. URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE National Weather Service State College PA 239 PM EDT Mon Apr 18 2022 PAZ026>028-035-036-050-056-063-064-190000- /O.EXB.KCTP.WW.Y.0019.000000T0000Z-220419T0000Z/ Huntingdon-Mifflin-Juniata-Fulton-Franklin-Snyder-Perry- Cumberland-Adams- Including the cities of Huntingdon, Mount Union, Lewistown, Mifflintown, McConnellsburg, Chambersburg, Selinsgrove, Newport, Carlisle, and Gettysburg 239 PM EDT Mon Apr 18 2022 ...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM EDT THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Wet snow. 14. Have to chuckle...the high at MDT, next Saturday, is below 50 again on the GFS. It tried the same thing last week but failed. And then May 1.
  15. Losetoa just got pinged down there. You may have some MA followers of your post. Itsstalkingtime! (Well, guess I am guilty too. LOL)
  16. The HRRR does move the R/S line to our west though if you look at the AM HRRR we have greatly overachieved. Showed little snow here until overnight.
  17. The CCB must be pivoting over them. Hopefully we get some back building.
  18. You are not playing this up enough, Taverna is closed due to road conditions.
  19. MA Spring flingers complaining about ~20 below normal temps right now. Guess the batteries were out of their calculators when it was in the low to mid 80's the other day? It takes a freak, anomalous snow storm to get these temps while it just takes a normal fair day for the positive side.
  20. I am stealing snow again right PA? The thing that is amazing is Central MD has a snowstorm (and not high elevation either).
  21. WGAL is now calling for up to 2" of snow 81 North and West including in the LSV.
