  1. Downright summer feeling here...in the sun. 77. Shot at 80. Big Money Cashtown is at 80 now.
  2. Was just outside. Definitely a bit warmer feeling than yesterday. 67. Depending on when rain gets here, looks like a mid to upper 70's day here.
  3. Already raining through much of PA. Maybe later this afternoon a rainer as well for some in the LSV. Think late week/early next weekend needs to be watched for the risk of FFW type rains in the LSV.
  4. https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/32328371/mlb-playoffs-everything-need-know-tiebreakers-wild-cards-last-day-mlb-season OK, here's what can happen: 1. If the Yankees and Red Sox win, or if they lose and the Blue Jays and Mariners both lose, as well, it's Yankees-Red Sox in the wild-card game on Tuesday at Fenway Park. (The Red Sox won the season series 10-9.) MLB playoff tracker: AL wild-card scenarios, key games and who has clinched a postseason spot 6hESPN.com 2. If there's a two-team tie for the second wild card, the two teams will play a tiebreaker game on Monday to earn a chance in Tuesday's wild-card game. The home team will be the squad with the better head-to-head record. Scenarios in play: Yankees at Blue Jays, Mariners at Yankees, Blue Jays at Red Sox, Mariners at Red Sox. 3. If three teams end up tied for two wild-card spots, teams are given A, B and C designations based on combined head-to-head winning percentage. Club A hosts Club B on Monday, and the winner is one wild-card team. The loser then travels to Club C to determine the second wild-card team (in this scenario, the wild-card game is pushed back to Wednesday). The team with the best percentage gets first pick on its designation, etc. Scenarios in play with order of winning percentage (presumably, the team with the first pick would choose the A designation, giving it two chances to win one game): BOS-TOR-NYY BOS-NYY-SEA 4. If there's a three-team tie for the second wild card, teams are given the same A, B and C designations. Club A hosts Club B on Monday and the winner of that game hosts Club C on Tuesday, with the wild-card game again pushed back to Wednesday. Scenarios in play with order of winning percentage (so the team with the best percentage chooses between winning two games at home or winning one game on the road): TOR-NYY-SEA BOS-SEA-TOR 5. If there's a four-way tie for two wild cards -- that would require the Blue Jays and Mariners to win, and the Yankees and Red Sox to lose -- teams are given A, B, C and D designations. Club A hosts Club B and Club C hosts Club D, with the two winners advancing to the wild-card game. FiveThirtyEight gives this an 8% chance of happening. The order of selection goes Boston, Toronto, New York and Seattle, so Boston and Toronto would play home games, leaving the Yankees to choose between playing at Boston or at Toronto. How fun would that be?
  5. Already down to 51. Zones ended up being several degrees too high for the highs and lows here (and the high at MDT).
  6. The GA defense is incredible. Ark only had 170 or so yards. And yea the yanks have out their back up beep on in a major way this weekend. Could be a single game elimination to see who gets to play in the wc single game. Add UF to the over ranked list.
  7. Another shutout for GA. No telling what the future holds but right now they are as good as it gets.
  8. High at DCA today was 78 and BWI 80. A bit above average but nothing gangbusters.
  9. May be a tad late to compare but a few scattered low 80's but mostly 70's on this map.
  10. Have you ever been 10 degrees higher than MDT? LNS is 77. Posting on the weather board from a football game. LOL
  11. You could go double digits over MDT today. Still 73 at 4PM. The NWS forecast was way too high for them.
  12. I was going to ask if you were at the Sox game, missed if you said, but guess not in Arlington. Across the river.
  13. Thanks. We just left. Stayed about 3 hours. The wind was blowing off the water which was why it felt cold. The closest WU temp and my car were both real close at 59 and 60 when we got there. We went to the South Side today and I saw the "camping ground beach" off to the left...which is where I am guessing you were last time. November...wow. Could be a cold trip!
  14. 71 at Pinchot. 74 back at the Western Ville. Quite sunny.
  15. Pinchot park at noon. Cold. 59. No 80 here today. Maybe 70
  16. Nice temp. 44 here. MDT decided to not join the 40's party this AM. But it's little brother LNS is down to 47.
  17. Come on O's. Show the inspiration. These are foreigners trying to steal our playoff spots.
  18. I agree. 80's is always bad in October. Good for late season tennis. Bad for the weather nerds. Bad for the electric bill.
  19. Joe Calhoun just gave me a warm and dry October forecast. As Canderson would say, Boo. LOL. Not sure about the dry though.
  20. Warming up for winter....a nice Sunday/Early Monday namming. Snow maps of the fall season.
  21. My post was badly mangled by my talk to text converter, my apologies, but here is what I was trying to say. We were just talking about how a town not far from Harrisburg got to 32 a week or so ago. If correct they probably had some frost then.
