We have the rare time here where an area was forecast to get little to no snow and had almost WSW level accums. This would have been a KU if cold. 8-12" probably.
Yea, they have been warm (at more than one level) all day. I would not have had flake one if the AM HRRR was right. So, its depiction of a beatdown NE of Harrisburg, tonight, may be right or may be very wrong. LOL
Precip does go into a lull for a bit, on the HRRR, until the SLP starts to ride north and intensify. Whether rain or snow, it gets heavy again tonight as we get into the forming shield.
If the low proceeds as progged and gets to your South East while you are still in the shield, tonight, you will be getting snow IMO. And some of those pics I posted are a good 30-45 min south of the MD line believe it or not. Within 45 min of DC.
With apologies to Voyager, all the LR Globals suggest snow chances are not done for PA after this week. This is the middle ground depiction between the crazy cold GFS and the more moderate Canadian.
I just posted the pic. I thought it was SW of Frederick. But I know that area and it is indeed not that high in elevation. I would have guess 400-500'. Reported on the MA thread.
