    The GFS suggests mid month is when MDT has its next best chance to crack the 80 mark. Of course it could happen before then just talking time in place model output here. Assume it is May 15th. That would put MDT around 215 days between 80's I believe. I forget what Tim said the record was but it would be close if not over.

    Hmm, its gonna be wet a lot as well. I think I will have to mow twice a week for a but in May but that is rare. For me to have a dozen mows right now, I would have had to start mowing in Feb.

    So we have Training: 12+ Sauss: 8 Paweather: 4 Bubbler86: 2 (with some weed wacking done in between)

    He has to expand his county itinerary though. He said 5 counties which is less than half of the 11 which encompass the area.

    Unfortunately the drought is probably closer than I want. LOL.

    I could have mowed one more time in between but it was not growing (like the trees) and I have the yard professional managed with preemergent and feedings. Just up the hill from me, the trees have no buds and grass is still not growing. It's weird. I suspect I will start mowing pretty regular right now with all the rain coming and seemingly no more frost.

    Yea, a lot depends on where the flow is coming from. Being on the west side of the mountain, with lots of valleys to my South West, a SW flow means we warm up easily. It was also cloudy most of the night here. Just the other side of the mountain (and a bit North), Cashtown is 6 degrees cooler than me. MDT only got down to 50 as well.

    Just drove 15 from Dillsburg to Gettysburg and it was pouring and dropped to 51 degrees from the previous high of 63 in this area. Estimated rain/radar does really peter out East of the river. .6 back at the house.

    In Etters today....guesstimate about half inch here with most coming in a 30 min downpour

    I have not noticed much difference in farmers this way but like I had mentioned before, our trees are just now starting to bloom (Maple/Oak). I was down in Hagerstown yesterday and trees were much more full. It is dry here as well but that seems destined to change dramatically over the next 7-10 days. I may try to sneak my second mow in early next week.
