  1. Already in the 60's on the Adams and Franklin county line. 72 in the Ville. Surprised it has fallen so quickly
  2. But it has not even felt hot here. Two years ago we would have been leading the way with temps here. Different times. I was down near Hagerstown where it did get to 90ish and it was not oppressive in the least bit. 3-4 degrees over average.
  3. Looks like the highest temp at any NWS station near by was 93...even CXY.
  4. The HI topped out at 90 here today. Lol. This is definitely an HIA/east heat wave. Looks like MDT made it to 95 HI for a few readings. Mostly 92-94.
  5. RGEM and Nam both have rain on Sunday as well...something to watch.
  6. Yep, down to 86 now. More sun than clouds but breezy and DP in the mid 60's so a no harm/no foul type of day. Meso's showing some rain for a few lucky winners tomorrow. 3K shows a full on squall line and temps dropping into the 70's mid afternoon.
  7. The "Itstrainingtime front" is here. 87 and partly cloudy.
  8. PS, to me the truly hot days feature warmer locations in the 90's mid morning. RE: MDT is hovering around 90 right now. If they were headed for 100 I would think they would need to be 93-95 now.
  9. Would not hurt my feelings. LOL Big Money is at 84.
  10. Bit early nooners as I have a meeting. 83 and quite breezy.
  11. That would take a little more time that I have right now but I would expect they would average out quite close. The first half of the first month of summer and the first half of the first month of fall (Met). Stepping into the heat on one side, and stepping out on the other. This graphic gives a good compare. The all time highs for first half of June are comparable to Sept for MDT. Most/more than half of the Sept records are before we lived. What really stands out is that the highest temps during those times were 102 in Sept 1953.
  12. Since 2010 only one Sept has been hotter than it's preceding June...2012. In 2021 June was almost 6 degrees higher than Sept of that year.
  13. My comment was just historical. No reliable modeling to add to real thoughts :-)
  14. It is my area through Central and Norther Adams and in some manner Central and Southern York and Lancaster counties. Almost always running lower than the HIA.
  15. Yea, I totally agree that either the sun is more intense or we are more subject to feeling it. Another observation, my first two summers back it really was not that much different summer temps wise over here vs the central LSV. Something has adjusted a bit the last two summers.
  16. Yea, they are definitely breaking 87. I guess to me anything that is 7-8 degrees AN (or less) in the summer is just a hot day. I used to relish playing outside in the 90's as a kid. Getting to 93 or 94 today is nothing like cracking 60 or 70 in February IMO (except for people working outside or with no AC) as it pertains to weather abnormalities. 78 here so far. Can Cashtown and I get our first 90 in months?
  17. Summer into October is par for the course here...unfortunately. Low to mid 90's in July is just SLIGHLTY above normal....no different than it staying around 81 BN Wise for a high. But 100's is gross. MDT was only AN by 9 degrees COMBINED the last two days. 3 one day and 6 the other.
  18. 69 this AM but already up to 75. MDT bottomed at 79 it appears. GFS continues to advertise real heatwave potential the first week of August. Shelters open, etc...
  19. Not sure if it's been mentioned but heat advisory for east of the river.
  20. Mid to late Aug 32's in the US or Southern Canada? Lol. Did I read on the NY board that you were taking a job in Phoenix Arizona?
  21. After Sunday the GFS has below or close to normal temps into August but then....
  22. I just spoke to. Co-worker near Dallas who said we are a bunch of pansies worrying about low to mid 90's. Hard to argue when he is getting a "reprieve" tomorrow with the demo dropping to 100. Lol
  23. Have to give credit where credit is due...for you to deviate that far from the EC! LOL.
  24. 88 here now. The BN streak ends but 90 seems safe for one more day at least. Hottest temps seem centered out in/with the Skooks.
