Note fall express means temps staying near normal for a while, not fall temps in August. LOL Thought I should clarify. Using history as a guide along with the GFS persistence, it is not crazy to say someone has a shot at a 105 next week.

GFS still going with Aug 4-6th for a mini hot spell then a couple mid 40's nights in Northern PA. 87 for the high here yesterday.

Eastern Lanco over 4" the last 3 days. Over 1" just East of Harrisburg. Dry as a bone in far Southern PA for the work week now.

Seeing some 1/4"-1/2" reports near Harrisburg down in to the central LSV.

Lot of the same areas that scored yesterday are scoring again today. Are the Harrisburg rapids back?

2 Small areas of D1 now in N Central PA (which is pretty bad for this area of the country) and D0 now encroaching from the SW.

We are similar in the mid 80's like much of the rest of the LSV today. Nice to be part of the gang for once. Some HIA low 90's there but most of Lanco, York in the 85-88 area. Actually some low 80's in Lanco.

I just searched the town name and this came up. With the internet we all live in the same area now.

Investigators said Rebecca Wenrich, 66, of Dalmatia, walked into the path of the vehicle along Route 147 in Lower Mahanoy Township, south of Herndon, around 2:30 a.m. Thursday. Wenrich died at the scene. The road was closed in the area of the crash until around 9 a.m. There is no word from authorities on if any charges will be filed.

Per PAweather it is the first time he sees the PAweather 540 line coming out of the arctic circle. Per Blizz it is Sept 1 but any snow that falls in Aug is counted. Voyager thinks it is fall and winter 365 days a year. Itstrainingtime thinks the first time he slouches into his chair for a game from Actuary field it is now fall. Canderson thinks it is colder in July than December these days so fall may start in May?

The GFS is basically just 5-6 days near or above 90 (out of 15). Mostly normal or below. Two of the 90 and above days are really hot/near or over 100.

GFS still backing down from the Heat Wave of the Century. Temps at MDT do not break 70 Starting the AM of Sunday Aug 7th until the afternoon of Tuesday the 9th. ULL in place of what was a heat dome just a couple days ago. A couple hot days before that.
