It is a terrible move but fits in with other industries especially the news industry which is working to remove a lot of human reporting.

Something like this may lead to more DT like situations from the forecasters here. Unlike law, the only thing needed here to give it a go is internet. (No offense to Mets, there are already dozens of professional forecasters here who have no met creds)

The HRRR is not "that" much different from 18Z but had a wider swath of multiple LP points, one of which is up near the DelMarva instead of SE PA, that has less of an all out assault on our column vs the consolidated M/D runner before. Still starts as rain in much of the LSV.

Rgem takes a slightly different path but ends up in a similar place as the HRRR at this hour. Beat down just to the west. Borderline Mecs for Central Lanco County and NE. Southern Lanco is rainy.

3K snow map is much different than 12K and basically a medium westerward jump from 12Z with some upped totals in East LSV. But seeing a fold in 12K gives me extra caution about it now. Until it folded I gave it a chance to tell its story.
