  1. THV: -12 MDT: -5 MUI: -4 AOO: -3 CXY: -1 IPT: -1 LNS: +2 HGR: +6
  2. 1 for the low here. Hovered around 2 or 1 most of the night.
  3. It correlated with the wind direction change. The therm reads what the therm reads (like this am when mdt had an artificial low because of wind blowing off the ice) I agree it is crazy.
  4. LOL. The Winds of change at THV. 2 in the 'Ville.
  5. 5/-3 -10 already in mountains of WV. Dp at THV is -6.
  6. .WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM TUESDAY TO 1 PM EST WEDNESDAY... * WHAT...Heavy mixed precipitation expected. Total snow and sleet accumulations up to one inch and ice accumulations around one quarter of an inch. * WHERE...Portions of northeast and northern Florida and southeast Georgia. * WHEN...From 7 PM Tuesday to 1 PM EST Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Power outages and tree damage are likely due to the ice. Travel could be nearly impossible. The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday morning commute. "Travel could be nearly impossible"
  7. It is going to take a long of sand shovels to clear the roads in Florida. Actually it probably does not lay on the roads but grass may get a snowmagedon.
  8. For early next week it would be nice to see a NS wave time better and give the moisture a reason to go around that SE high instead of attack it. It is snowing under the highest point of pressure on this map.
  9. Yes, you called it. Today it will bust on both sides though like I said, the MDT low reading is not legit IMO. I think it was artificially cooled by the ice beside the equipment. It is not every day that the zone forecast busts by 10AM.
  10. On the other subject, it is already up to 29 at DCA (could have held festivities outdoors it appears) and Wundermap has a a lot of mid 20's around the LSV right now. That deeper cold air to our west is not affecting us as progged for today. And I agree, cannot write anything off outside a week.
  11. So you were one of the lucky ones that did not have to walk to school uphill without legs?
  12. It is snowing again and I am guessing some areas east of Hagerstown, near Thurmont, are measuing in the inches now.
  13. Meso's have you getting in the low to mid 20's. Not anything I am aware of for a front. Something coming Tue night though which could be a little snow.
  14. Snow Squall Warning in effect just to the East of Hagerstown.
  15. They dropped from 10 to 3 in 15 min then the back up to 7 five min later. LOL. All corresponding to the wind blowing East or North over the icy water I guess. So not exactly a scientific observation. They were in the teens or possibly 9 when wind had a westerly component.
  16. That is tropical tidbits up to its usual tricks of showing sleet and freezing rain as snow...though on pivotal is does have -10" in the panhandle. So does GFS and rgem.
  17. 15 here. Several single digits to my East. Nothing like that though. It is snowing again over here.
  18. I had a piece of cake myself post shovel. Lol
  19. I am 56 as well and did about a quarter mile of driveway this evening with doing my elderly neighbors also. When you are done the calories burnt feel good though, right? Haha. As long a heart healthy. However, if I ever deal with another 40 incher I will have to be home and take it in pieces or get a friendly neighbor to snow blow it.
