  1. Clouds have moved in here and temp down to 68. Will take whatever rain we can get the next 48 hours evening if just .1". Not loving the 12Z trends though.
  2. Yea, so do I for everyone's sake. With the record on the line, I am watching it just for the anomalous side of things. Being the 6th driest month ever may be as impressive as it being the driest May ever.
  3. Add HRRR, Fv3 and Rgem to the rain parade for tomorrow with scattered showers across the LSV, south of Harrisburg, much of the afternoon into Tue. CTP actually put rain back in their zones, only 20%, for Harrisburg. On the flip side, the RRFS has no rain north of the M/D line.
  4. Talking about a terrible shot turned into a miracle. That was on the level of Lorenzo Charles in 1983 with the Wolfpack.
  5. Well as stated, the UK showed a similar evolution. Other models have rain in pa but nam and UK are the farthest north. The 1-2 inch map from 12z was crazy though. 0z nam does only concentrate on southern Lsv with light accums
  6. Through Tue on the Nam. Some from Mon. We are going to be the very top of the circulation of a stalled/decaying low so anything is on the board...from nothing to a rain out. The UK has a somewhat similar depiction.
  7. Yep, its something to watch plus our dying grass. We want the MJS special which is rain every except MDT and Ruins house.
  8. It starts in the Western LSV Monday but it could be a whole bunch of nothing. Not much support yet. It is still there at 18Z but muted a bit. That (fail) whale high/Large and in Charge per WGAL is a beast.
  9. Good Gravy https://www.cnn.com/2023/05/27/world/meteorologists-conspiracy-harassment-abuse-climate-intl/index.html
  10. 74 beautiful degrees in 'Ville West. The Nam depiction of total rain the next 2-3 days is crazy. 2"+ in western LSV, 1" at MDT. Something to watch at 18Z.
  11. Not too bad. Most of the rain comes later Monday on the one I looked at.
  12. Some 12z runs are quite rainy as we go through Monday...even northern Lsv into the evening. See a lot of no rain posts but still a decent chance as the period comes into better focus of the meso's
  13. The feds seem to think we have a wetter than normal summer on tap. We shall see. mdt will be double digit negatives by fall if not.
  14. As much work as that sounds, you are lucky to have the option. Its just hoses for me. I might put in an irrigation system for the yard. This is getting old and is seemingly like this every year albeit it extremely early this summer. The lack of rain is on and off through the year, but the sun (and its drying) is more than I ever remember it 10-20 years ago and the wind tacks on to the dry.
  15. 43 here this Am. Pillow/your area has had quite the lot of 30's recently. I got up early to water part of the yard hoping it will soak in better than it did yesterday evening. Looking dire for rain up that far north. Progs keeping most of it in the southern LSV.
  16. The air is so dry it is hard to water the grass and not lose most to evap. Still have high hopes for rain the next 3 days. I know lesser hopes north of here. Windows open LSV with lower 40's in colder spots tonight.
  17. Could see some drastic temp differences this weekend. May be in the 50's near the M/D line (whether in PA or MD) and near 80 north of Harrisburg. The record low max at MDT for Sunday is 57. Still a decent chance of some rain south of Harrisburg.
  18. Progs look pretty warm for a few days next week.
  19. The GFS has been doing a good job forecasting these dry, cold nights and it does not show another period of them for over 10 days out (June 8th) @ 300 hours+ so you know how that is....not likely at 300 hours. So, after tomorrow AM's low 40's this might be it.
  20. Channel 8 met pointed out that as is, May 2023 would be the 6th driest month ever. Not sure if that was pointed out by anyone. He called the whale high "Large and in charge".
  21. A VERY LATE potted plant advisory. Did not think we would see one more in our sub. 22. We are way above -4 right now. We are into the -3's this month alone but it was 2 or 3 more inches the first 4 months. We meaning MDT. On some other places I hang out, they are calling this high the Pig High.
