  1. GFS is cool to normal and dry going into Mid-June. We really need this weekend to come through.,
  2. Clmate change cancel? LOL MDT already down to 84.
  3. MU topped out at 88 today. They are becoming the cold spot of the lower LSV. No UHI to inflate temps.
  4. Them was fighting words with all the climate change angriness going on. LOL.
  5. Tamaqua may have highs in the 50's and 60's in the near future so do not worry too much. GFS not liking an early full on summer. We camped out at 87 and are stuck there still.
  6. 84 in the 'Ville West. Probably not going to be a 90 day here. MDT a bit closer at 86. MU banging an 84 as well.
  7. It is worse inside the house and/or at night when there is no breeze. 75 outside during the day and in the shade is not too shabby,
  8. I was off my game and forgot to look. Thamks. Northeast Drought Summary Some rain fell across the far southern parts of the Northeast region and in northern New England this week. But most of the region received less than a fourth of an inch, and the rain that fell was mostly below normal. Temperatures averaged near to below normal. With soils drying, low streamflow, and very low precipitation for the month of May, D0 (abnormal dryness) was expanded across much of the region, from Delaware, Maryland and West Virginia to southern New York, and from western Maine to western Massachusetts. Large 90-day precipitation deficits prompted expansion of D1 (moderate drought) in Maryland and eastern Pennsylvania. Soils rapidly dried this week. According to May 28 data from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), 80% of the topsoil moisture in Pennsylvania was rated short or very short (dry or very dry), an increase of 48% from last week. The values were 100% for New Jersey, 78% for Maryland, and 52% for New York.
  9. Early 12Z Meso's are not inspiring for Fri and Sat rain. The ULL and front does not back into PA as the same trajectory as yesterday and timing with a vort sliding up from the south is not as great... so just scattered qpf.
  10. My neighbor’s garbage is blowing into my yard. What can I do? - Quora
  11. My house would probably not fall below 77 right now with no AC. That is not good sleeping weather indeed. The basement (finished) is cooler but still stuffy if no AC. It is not insultation as my house stays warm in the winter....my heating bill was paltry this past winter. Less than $800 for Nov-April. In contrast I know people who had $1500-$2000 heating bills during that time...they are all electric.
  12. We have this convo every year and I cannot imagine how warm it gets in your house. It would be in the 85ish range here with no AC yesterday. Stifling for an in-house temp. And we have tree cover about 3/4 of the day.
  13. 48 this Am for the low. GFS keeps ticking the Fri-Sun amounts a little back with each run. Widespread 40's on the first day of met summer.
  14. Truthfully, I would take that 1/2-1" and smile and hope the LR is off. I did not benefit from April as much as the Eastern LSV so it has been a bad 30 days here.
  15. LOL, Canderson is stewing over the 12Z GFS right now.
  16. After our weekend "deluge" of 1/2-1", the GFS is a total shutout into the second 1/8th of summer. CMC is also a wet weekend then small chances of showers as vorts fly by next week.
  17. PAweather 540 line in PA on June 7th. LOL. Fun stuff for 12Z. This is analogous to it being in PA on Aug 23rd.
  18. LOL, I was wondering a bit about why they did not expand the map last week.
  19. The GFS is a true delight for people that want some rain and well BN temps. June would quickly be in a double-digit temp deficit despite Friday. The ULL stays for over a week. 40's for lows every day next work week.
  20. Back door ULL goodness. The GFS (just a prog, not my forecast) squashes early summer.
  21. A not too shabby 71 Nooner temp. MDT 73. GFS and NAM now starts the rain parade on Friday for the Eastern LSV. A prelude to a very unsettled weekend.
