  1. GFS wonders if PA's first frost of the season is on Sept 02. The PAWeather 540 line is saying hi.
  2. That would be every day in August so far. Summer 2023 dropped the ball.
  3. We are going to be spoiled if we have a bad summer next year.
  4. My valley has plenty of rain, it is half (well 1/4 way) up the mountain where it turns in to that. Under 16" for the year. Stil, no where near as bad as 2020. We are a good 3-4" ahead of then.
  5. High and dry and 62 this AM. About a 1/4 mile from me they got .05" as the line formed there before moving East.
  6. With MDT going another day without hitting 90, they have not hit that mark in Aug yet and appears they will not at least through the 19th having them go 21 straight days with no 90's. The last time they had no 90's through the first 19 days of Aug was 2014. Last year MDT had eight 90's in Aug by this day of the month. They have had four 89's this month so it is not "winter like". Maybe some 40's Sat AM?
  7. A good bit of the LSV is in the low to mid 80's right now. An HIA day.
  8. A Mammoth read.... sports but not sports. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/signs-point-strong-el-ni-154035553.html
  9. Interesting thing about the GFS is that only a few days are hot and some are later in the month. No heat wave next week. Actually has potential area wide 40's on Aug 31. I know, it is all going to change but as of now it is not a hot look for our corner.
  10. Agree that the rain this next 24 hours is a lottery. That is one reason I am done with full yard mowing for the summer and maybe even until next year. I will have to mow a few small areas under trees and when leaves are on the ground.
  11. WGAL is in... 1) Top gust on Friday is 25 2) Chamber weekend 3) Another fake heatwave next week in the "weakest summer" in many years. If we get a real summer next year, people may be spoiled by this year.
  12. Speaking of models, the mesos's have moisture sliding up the East Coast Thur afternoon and night as the front approaches...something for the Easterners to look out for.
  13. Yea, that was what I was referring to in my posts from that night....they actually mentioned tornados. I am not sure I am explaining anything to anyone. If you do not want my service, stop paying or asking. LOL.
  14. We were behind on tropical counts last year as we entered August, and it never really did catch up to expectations though there was one the devastating one in SW Florida of course. I love model reading so you may have to ignore some of my posts (like others do). We are watering once or twice a day as well. Doing it after dark when I can...to avoid neighbor issues.
  15. Had sustained winds in the upper 20's and gusts over 40 this afternoon.
  16. How was your lunch today? How about the Phillies, they are something right? Have you ever seen weather like this?
  17. Oh, so you got .04". I hope USGS took note of that! LOL. Parts of PA now have less the entire year than some posters here have had in ~ 2 or 2.5 months.
  18. Looks like Lanco did not do a lot last night but the HRRR and 3K both have a wave ride the front this afternoon to put them in the game.
  19. .05 here for the evening. Looks like MDT did .36. Warm 71 this AM.
