  1. GFS was not much different from the Icon in driving the low into the SE and then heading North. Slower advance north vs. 6Z which would be good for early PSU parking activities but not good for the game itself. CMC takes the onus off the coast and tracks up through SC and the Apps.
  2. The 12Z Icon drives potential Opehlia up into NC in a giant change from its 0Z prediction of keeping it completely off the coast.
  3. The most important 12Z run ever for Sat PSU tailgating and OC MD plans is on deck. Does potential Ophelia get named?
  4. I take exception to the exaggeration claim when I said may! LOL. I had no idea where you were.
  5. This was in reference to total mows. Some of us have a running mower count here for fun.....I have only mowed 12 times all year so far mostly due to long stretches of no mowing due to the drought. I think the Trainer may be in the 30's.
  6. Their map does not match up with the CMC and GFS at this point (for the LSV.) Both globals have 2" over most or all of the LSV.
  7. Hopefully the model timing is right and it is just a one day event as to light hours...probably some street flooding.
  8. Weekend flood watches son tap if the models hold. I will lose out on one outside day in OC MD. Inside stuff day.
  9. Your grass keeps growing through October or do you just mean leaves? My grass will probably grow a bit over the next 2 weeks which may lead to a mow but so far it has rarely grown much in Oct. Guess the first frost will play a part in all of that.
  10. I am not sure anyone has less than me except possibly Atomix. I doubt I get more than one more mow in (not counting leave mulching.). I have an old mower called the Yard Pig which does the leaf mulching.
  11. Ended up just under .9" here with a nice burst early this AM. Give me about 18" for the year now. 54 this AM.
  12. 13 games to go. A 6-game lead would not be enough to cash in the ticket at this point.
  13. Up to .6" of sweet, sweet slow falling rain. This is better for the yard than two 1" storm dumps.
  14. About .25 now. WU confirms as such. High totals to me NW, East and NorthEast but frankly it is the soaking that matters here to me though the water auth does need more than this to start pulling back on restrictions.
  15. Just based on models, not forecasting, it could still be raining in some manner tomorrow AM for rush hour. .20 so far for the day. A slow soaking .20. More to come.
  16. It is already one of the best rains since last spring/winter. Not totals as much as the soaking type. Thanks!
  17. Oh I remembered. HaHa. I was taking the other side and saying I am cool with your side too. LOL. This rain is now settling in here to a rainy Sunday. Hard to remember the last time we had a nice, soaking rainy day. No fretting over dBZ's and your hood, no worry about under the trees....just a good soak.
  18. I think it is bad for the grass to cut too far below 2.5" so those of us struggling to grow a yard usually let it roll a bit higher. I appreciate what you other guys do though.
  19. Speaking of that, I dropped in #12 last though I only did about 1/2 the yard. The only mows going forward will be leaf chopping which I do not count. Only 12 mows over 6 months of mowing season. Kind of crazy.
  20. Wow. Made me go to Wunderground. Down to 64 here now as the rain is on approach. Have an inversion event here with the higher areas being much warmer.
  21. Radar looks great and both HRRR and 3K have it raining on and off for about 20 hours from mid-morning through early AM tomorrow. A true soaker if it plays out. 1/2-1" totals on both for many areas of southern PA. A balmy 66 this AM. On the surprise factor scale, this would be like getting a 4-8" snowstorm 3 days after the forecast said today would be sunny and 60.
  22. Meso wise, the 12Z HRRR and 6Z Nam3K both have a better surface reflection over PA, so the qpf is really amped up vs. some previous progs that were mostly showing us getting the northern end of the southern vort. Nothing has fallen yet but the Rgem is looking for a nice pat on the back if that happens as it was on the case 2 days ago. Both are also starting rain by mid-morning now for the Western and Central PA areas.
  23. A few days ago we were staring at a week plus of dry so definitely encouraging as of this AM.
