    Not at all about the climate discussion but the meso's I looked at appear to be just as warm here tomorrow as anywhere in NY. Highest of the models being Mid 80's LSV (maybe 90 at CXY). Maybe the NWS is forecasting above the progs? The map temps on the RGEM appear to show 85 in NY and 84 in PA for highs tomorrow.

    Yea, I did not look at the Euro recently but the other big 3 were not a lot of rain in South PA. GFS rebuilds the heat dome in the central states next week then migrates it East. This has been consistent for several runs now. This is of course after a very chilly weekend and early next week coming up. First frost for the LSV is possible.

    Globals today still support that government qpf map from earlier this week...rich get richer to LSV's north as to rain that is slated to start Friday AM.

    CXY is shooting for an 80 at nooners. Already 77. MDT lagging way behind at 72. 69 here which is the coolest 11 temp since last Friday.

    I think much of the talk about lows before centered around John Q. Opinionated Weather Public that relies more on highs to gauge how a summer feels.

    You have said this a few times but remember, areas to my south and west were as or more extreme than me, so I think I was on the northern edge of the worst part of the drought.

    And I am about 1/2" higher than Dry Gulch HGR.

    Could be 10-20 degrees AN for a large area for 4-6 days straight...although MDT may only make 9 AN today. Cxy is proudly 12 AN.

    We are at 19.5" of rain for the year here giving us double digit deficits still using MDT's numbers. Now the question....is this current week a heatwave or no? :-)

    I have neighbors who have not mowed since June. I am only mowing now because I kept watering my grass for two months and kept it barely alive, but it is not healthy....though green and growing a bit.

    I am looking at mow 14 this weekend/early next week depending on rain timing. Not sure I go beyond that not counting leave mulching.

    Yea, so very large temp swings in the models this week. Near 50 to mid 80's some places.

    Speaking of college football, one of these days UVA will hold for a win. I put them as my photo because they are sort of small version of what happened to Marshall at this point. They only had 3 players killed but then a large number of players left so they had to start over and pull in players off campus to fill their squad. Their kicker is 34 years old.

    Looking possible...rare I agree with broad brushed heat comments but yesterday's bust low on temps for many may be a prelude to a run of 80's into next weekend. See a 85+ on a meso. More west based heater yesterday. CXY-80 HGR-78 MDT-76 THV-76 LNS-74 MDT ends the month of Sept 1.3AN with the low's being the culprit again.

    79 ended up being the high here today. Down to 77 now.
