Very sunny here. Still only 25. Heavy frost has put the wham jam on the grass trying to get the wrong idea.

24 this Am. Winters temps are back. Over the next 5-6 days, may see a couple mornings of 10-15 at some of the colder spots. Brrr.

Yea, that was my thought on bringing it up twice. The Canadian really seems to do well on days where radiational cooling seems likely.

That site I use does not have any official Lancaster reporting station in the 1960's. Here is Williamsport for a compare of another NWS station.

Run eventually goes on to suppress the gulf action until the boundary has moved to the north of most of us. A wide-ranging ridge of high pressure controls the Northeast for most of the 300's with a trough in the SW....not a positive run though too far out to put much thought in it.

The Canadian still beating the drum on some BN lows and highs next week.

12Z GFS does not work out as well as the 6Z with the complicated V-Day storm but as it goes into the 300's it is look interesting with a piece pf energy diving in from the mid-west forming a system near the gulf.

CMC has most of PA in the teens and low 20's for lows much of next week (5 nights.) Pattern, shammatern....if it is right again with those low temps, as it is often the case, that may be one of the colder runs of ground temps for the rest of winter.

I am guessing I will be able to mow by the end of next week. I probably will not but the grass will be there. After a long drought, any moisture makes it feel alive. Snow cover? Alive.

Yea, I hate to bring it up because it is so off...I like the fact that it might get cold at least. As Canderson alluded too, we probably have growth this week and next. The grass is already looking greener than it should on Feb 1.
