It has been a dump for a long time but it is part of many people's memories of growing up. On the way down it is a relief when you pass....a marker that means you are getting closer. I remember riding carnival rides there as a kid. But as someone else said the hotel was terrible. That woman was just looking for the sausage Pedro promised her.
They used to have a "room" there called The Dirty Old Man shop but think it is closed now. It was everything you would expect for a back room at South of the Border. LOL
I am not sure our air temps get below freezing tonight either but under the bridges it may. I heard the township talking about it on the scanner. It is still raining now so it is going to be wet all night. I bet my therm does not go below 34. I doubt we break 40 over here tomorrow though. The winds are the story tomorrow. Going to be terrible to be out IMO. Sustained 15-25 with gusts and temps 35-42ish. It may all be forgotten on Friday when someone makes a run for 75!
We are already up to a T of snow and .2" of rain. Even though I have withdrawn from the mow contest I suspect I will have a better start this year. Lats year I only had 2-3 mows in going in to May.
They may need to issue a WSW or Advisory for the Laurels. Temps may be a reason they do not but might be close. Several meso's show 4-6" and Nam is around 8".
Braver man than me with the cold Sunday on tap. Wind Chills near or below freezing all day. My Spring flowers were up in Feb last year. More traditional spring this year over here.
We do not even have spring flowers up yet over here. No one is ever going to catch you if you are mowing already! I was looking this AM and thought I might have to weed whack the edges in late March as I do see some greening on the curbs.
