  1. I just hope we all get a ground whitener this afternoon.
  2. Looks like we will go a good 72-hours without breaking 40 here. February should be embarrassed letting March steal its thunder in seeing 2 daytime high BN departures of double digits when we could get nowhere near that in Feb. I see it is not quite as cold in the central LSV.
  3. 12Z HRRR has quite a bit of snow making it to the LSV this afternoon
  4. 34 with sustained winds 25-30 and gusts near 40 right now. Sustained Windchill is 20.
  5. NWS throwing down the gauntlet for snow today. Could be heavy at times. Today A chance of rain and snow showers before 4pm, then a chance of snow showers between 4pm and 5pm, then a chance of rain and snow showers after 5pm. The snow could be heavy at times. Partly sunny, with a high near 43. Windy, with a west wind 15 to 20 mph increasing to 21 to 26 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 40 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
  6. Do not see a lot of model support for a temp of 70 at MDT except one day next week. 35 here this AM.
  7. Dirty old man shop at midnight, Denny's Moons over My Hammy at 3AM
  8. It has been a dump for a long time but it is part of many people's memories of growing up. On the way down it is a relief when you pass....a marker that means you are getting closer. I remember riding carnival rides there as a kid. But as someone else said the hotel was terrible. That woman was just looking for the sausage Pedro promised her.
  9. They used to have a "room" there called The Dirty Old Man shop but think it is closed now. It was everything you would expect for a back room at South of the Border. LOL
  10. I am not sure our air temps get below freezing tonight either but under the bridges it may. I heard the township talking about it on the scanner. It is still raining now so it is going to be wet all night. I bet my therm does not go below 34. I doubt we break 40 over here tomorrow though. The winds are the story tomorrow. Going to be terrible to be out IMO. Sustained 15-25 with gusts and temps 35-42ish. It may all be forgotten on Friday when someone makes a run for 75!
  11. Early bed time at South of the Border so posting for Blizz,
  12. You called it. No flooding here fortunately. Temp is down to 37. Might have minor bridge freezing issues tonight.
  13. No body beats the Blizz, even delaying your South of the Border shopping to post snow maps.
  14. 1.35" here so far. A toasty 38. Feels warmer now than it will tomorrow.
  15. Snow advisories out for much of western PA. Groundhog said to be grumbling about it.
  16. Nooners in Frederick. Heavy rain and 40. 36 back at Rou.
  17. About three quarters of an inch in the til and 37 and 10 am. The coldest 10am temp in quite a while.
  18. With some areas of the SE already mowing, I am out. Pedro sez he has never sausage a person who could be that champ. (Hint to the possible contender)
  19. We are already up to a T of snow and .2" of rain. Even though I have withdrawn from the mow contest I suspect I will have a better start this year. Lats year I only had 2-3 mows in going in to May.
  20. Ok, pivot. Say hi to DT on the way by...safe travels.
  21. We will watch for the patented MDT temp spike of 5 degrees up and down in 5 min to know you have taken off safely.
  22. Moderate rain and 35. I was told we had snow around 4:00AM but did not see it myself. GFS has lessened up on the next cold snap after the current one.
  23. MU's input for this weekend: Downright Awful
  24. Sunday could be one of the more wintery type days we have had this "season". The wind is going to make everyone cold even if it near 40.
