  1. GFS has a wet weekend ahead if convection being around much of the weekend is considered wet. RGEM still doing fairly well with the highs predicted 92-93 for MDT, and suggests tomorrow will be 1-2 lower. HRRR says 1-2 higher. 87 for the high here today.
  2. Giant's beer selection (or Martins) is refreshingly up to date and quite good. Giants is the Publix of the North to me (though there is a Publix near DC now so not so far south.)
  3. 50 plus posts to discuss temps 5-10 degrees AN. LOL. Usually, it is my fault but not today.
  4. Canderson sweating it but they probably sneak on it. A soft heat wave
  5. Euro is 101 to 105 with lollipops of 110. Gfs lollipops are 87
  6. Last evening, The Channel 27 news guy stated that yesterday is as "hot as it can get at MDT". LOL. Since 1995 MDT has recorded a temp of 100 or above 14 times and 96 or above somewhere between 75 and 100 times (did not feel like counting it up.) Picked 1995 because anything further back clogs up the record site since there are so many examples. No way to look at HI's way back but it has frequently pushed 110 at MDT.
  7. It does feel warmer this AM. 74 here. LNS made it down to 68 last night almost matching me. Looking like we do not hit 90 over here until Fri.
  8. They filed a starting lineup then played the wrong players at puck drop. 67 and a lot of dew this Am.
  9. Hershey Bears penalized for the wrong starting lineup. Quite the unique way to go behind in a game.
  10. I was kidding a bit though I am on the side of the heat being blown out of proportion a bit. There is a lot of research that suggests dry soil leads to less death during heat waves due to the lower humidity caused by the heat transfer; interesting topic.
  11. Well, it is convection so globals spread the qpf too evenly in that situation but there was almost 1.5" of rain in the Western LSV today so something for everyone to hope they can get under.
  12. The normal high 2 weeks from now is 87. I would expect the MDT Concrete Jungle to be above 90 half those days even in a coolish summer. I just did a manual scan so possible I missed one but it appears the last time MDT had a July day not reach 80, without precip/clouds, was July 7, 2018....almost 6 years ago.
  13. Meso's have 60's across the board for the southern LSV tonight so let's see how that works out.
  14. Not as shaky as the grounds for calling a heat wave at LNS. Will see if they come in with a 90 or 91 today. If they fall by the wayside tomorrow, they have to start all over. LOL. MU already below 90 themselves. What kind of hot box are you guys running over there! LOL
  15. Almost 3 and 87. Mid 80's higher elevations to the north. Been a bit surprised it seems trending toward not making 90. Light shower popping west of Camp Hill.
