  1. Sun's peeking out here already but I agree I think it will me mainly cloudy even over here.
  2. GFS would want to keep Much of the LSV in the 60's today. NWS pointing mid to upper 70's.
  3. Well the GFS completely flopped and made that first week of June much warmer while focusing the fairly extreme cold deviations on next week. Still some below normal days in June though.
  4. Yep, I just commented earlier that these strange forecasted temps are not all based on the Atlantic influence. Today it is but not into next week or even the following week. GFS drives that tropical presence right up just west of Chesapeake and then over us. Just rain of course. Never really develops much.
  5. Fascinating temps even next week on the GFS. Wed Afternoon sees Bangor, Maine in the 90's, Lancaster, PA- 72 and Athens, GA- 69. Of course clouds involved again but still topsy turvey. Hinting of a Low coming off the Fl Coast and trying to go Tropical at that time.
  6. GFS keeps the LSV in the mid 60's now. Late Spring CAD event.
  7. That early June cold is not all Atlantic driven but like you said earlier you are keying on Late June :-)
  8. The GFS this morning is truly a historic cold start to June. No 30's at this point but plenty of nights in the 40's and 2-3 days it stays at or below 60 all day in or near the LSV. Of course there are clouds and plenty of North/NE winds involved though winds are out of the N/W on the panel below showing the approx highs for June 6.
  9. Hello Mr. 80. Temps skyrocketed over 80 in the last hour. 82 now.
  10. GFS has backed off the extreme cold temps the first week of June but still shows historic lows in the lower 40's for the LSV. Looks like MDT got to 40 in 1980 and 41 in 1961 as to challenging all time June records.
  11. The only experience we have with something like this is 1918. This could play out totally different but until we see that it will I think the safe bet is to assume there will be some similarities.
  12. Once you lose someone in your family you learn to accept anything if it means no more losses. Whether we have another lock down is up for question but unless an answer is found Covid could be the star of our winter next year. Star meaning item most talked about.
  13. I think fall is when they will going back to yellow and red! I am telling my whole family to prepare as if we are going to do this all over again and if we do not it will just be good news.
  14. We are not yellow yet. LOL . But no entertainment places, hair cuts, tanning, etc...in yellow either. They did just announce we are going yellow next Friday. Dauphin as well.
  15. It is weird being in Franklin and going East, South or West and everything is normal except hair cuts (normal meaning the new normal).
  16. Don't worry about the weather. Totally out of our control.
  17. 18Z GFS gets LSV into the 80's a couple days in late May now but still has this extremely rare June map. Posted just for the fun of it. Also has the highs staying under 60 in the LSV June 3rd.
  18. Looks like MDT only got to 43 so that will be the number everyone's grand-kids are talking about 40 years ago when the "May it snowed" comes up in discussion. Ha
  19. We have a windchill of 38 here at the moment. Just saying windchill in late May is a rarity.
  20. Only made it to 41 here though the high yesterday was only 56. Yesterday was colder and less comfortable outside here than probably a third of the days this past winter.
  21. 12Z GFS took out any days from making 80 between now and June 4th with two of the first 4 nights in June in the 40's. Even if that was correct I suspect we still hit 80 at least 1-2 days due to the continued underestimating of high temps in the LSV but still a very nice start to summer! Keeps the bills down a bit.
