Getting too old for this. I got all excited because I thought I had 35.75” of snow and then realized I had the yardstick upside down. -

Temp dropped from 31º to 26º. Period of light snow left a heavy dusting. Not measurable. Just been spitting some flakes for the last hour or so. As I look out my window I have to say that so far if the view was a snow globe I would trash it. -

You better, because after tomorrow you only have 18 days left for any chance of winter precip. After the 28th hot air will cover Wake County for the foreseeable future. HOUSE Convenes Wed, 1/29/25 at 12:00 p.m. SENATE Convenes Wed, 1/29/25 at 12:00 p.m.

From years of experience I can assure you that around this time tomorrow someone will post: Gotta figure by this time tomorrow we'll have a pretty good idea of what to expect. It'll be interesting if nothing else.

In our first taste of winter precipitation in quite some time the award for the best new scientific term for snowfall goes to btownheel. Congratulations on your award!! From now on, any NWS statement that includes your new term, “ripping fatties” will be accompanied by this image in your honor. Again, congratulations and please keep on representing AmWx with dignity in the scientific community.

Since it hasn’t even snowed at all in Raleigh in years I’d say you have a pretty good chance of being correct.

The GFS is going to disappoint.

It has been so long since we have had a decent snow I think I would enjoy being slammed by one and not being prepared. And I’m an old man. lol FEB 27, 2004. My backyard, Archdale NC.

Interesting. Here are the Miller A’s in the last 23 years. Four, or 1 every 3.75 years. 2/12-13/14: 1003 1/9-10/11: 1008 2/12/10: 997 1/2-3/02: 1007 And here are the Miller A’s from the first 23 years of your info. Eleven, or one every 2.09 years. Quite a difference. 2/11-12/1899 1017 2/15-16/1895 1017 2/11-12/1895 1012 12/24-5/1894 1020 (barely discernible) 1/18-19/1893 1008 12/3-6/1886 1013 2/12-15/1885 1005 1/23/1885 1003 1/7-8/1884 1010 12/29/1880 1009 1/1/1877 1003
