  1. 1.43” from this round. I’m shocked.
  2. 1.25” storm total, honestly much more than I expected. September so far is already close to my total for all of August.
  3. 0.69” so far. Under a band now w/ rates just under half an inch per hour.
  4. 0.41” which is better than nothing.
  5. Only 0.16” so far. I got lucky yesterday with 0.62” but with 4” per hour rates much of it ends up running off.
  6. Long Island is molting into Aruba.
  7. I got lucky with 0.62”, I very nearly got nothing. Steam bath now with dews in the deep 70’s and temps in the 80’s.
  8. Topped out at 88. Currently 76.
  9. I just realized August 1st (high of 75) spoiled what would’ve been an 18-day 90+ stretch for me, and had both August 1st and 10th (high of 89) hit 90 that could’ve been a 20-day stretch. Insane.
  10. Topped out at 90, if only yesterday did the same (hit 89) this would’ve been a heat wave (for the millionth time this summer).
  11. Jun: 80.6/59.0 (69.8) - 4.88” July: 88.3/67.1 (77.8) - 3.72” Aug: 89.2/66.8 (78.0) - 2.00” Met Summer - 86.1/64.4 (75.3) - 10.60” I haven’t checked but I’m fairly certain that this was the warmest July and August for my PWS, which has been operational since 2018.
  12. The entirety of August felt delightful.
  13. Low of 68. Currently 74. .01” fell overnight.
  14. High of 91, low of 71. Currently 77. 33rd 90 of the year.
  15. When’s the last time we saw an actual squall line like this?
  16. 88/66 split today. Currently 78.
  17. More than half of the days this month at my location have been 90+, I’m sure the dryness has helped push days that would’ve otherwise been 87-89 over the top. May - 3 June - 2 July - 11 August - 15 Total - 31
  18. 0.00” for me but I drove through it. Second heaviest rain of the summer after that microburst/hail event in July.
  19. 86 and very breezy. Topped out at 90 earlier, another heat wave, which at this point means about as much as a “1 in 1000 year flood”.
  20. I’m surprised there’s a record high of 80-anything between June and September in this region.
  21. 4 inch per hour rates, just cleared an inch which is more rain than I’ve gotten in a month in just a few minutes. Nice surprise even if I’m not there to see it.
  22. 78/74 at my PWS. Only 0.03” still. Ridiculous. 83/71 in Charlotte. Both overcast. Which letter of tropical cyclone are we up to? The “I” names seem to deliver for us more than any other. We need it.
