Finished July with 3.3 inches. .65" of that fell on the 14th and 1.6" fell on the 16th. Less than 1/2 inch has fallen in the 2 weeks since. And now the whole region settles into a drier pattern.

Picked up .25" over 20 minutes. Truly pathetic.

Lots of lightning and very little rain. Radar looks good over me, but it's light rain. Unreal.

Oh, look, another day with storms to the south. Groundhog Day on repeat.

It's usually the same "have nots" year after year. Geographic influences are real, and a bitch.

And now a miss to the south. My grass is done. Again.

Another .05" miss from a storm passing a mile north. Full sun now and even more steamy than before.

If we can't rain with these DPs today, then I doubt we'll be able to Thursday either.

This is the last rain chance for the next 7 days. Whiff again and I'm in complete drought mode once again. The last significant rain was the 16th?

Typical storm death as it approached mby, only to explode across the usual storm track over Strasburg. Picked up .05" and have since been listening to constant thunder from that storm the last 30 minutes. Oh, the frustration of living here.

I've been in Stratton, VT, since Saturday. Already pleasant air mass got displaced yesterday evening by an even better one, complete with a nice line of storms. It was a breezy 66F day at the resort and 58F at the top of Stratton Mountain (3,875'). It was chilly in the shade with that wind. Fleece and sweatshirt weather tonight. Steam is rising from the hot tubs. It's weather we'd be lucky to get in mid-october. Simply incredible to experience in mid-july.

This one was frustrating. Glad I'm out of here to Vermont for a while. The DP in the 40s will make me forget about this screwjob.

The radar was a thing of beauty for this one. Back building, intensifying storm that absolutely bullseyed my yard at the end. Man, I do not get those in July. This was an absolute treat. North of 1.5".

Well, this one did not end in heartbreak.

Storms forming to my SW. But I can already see one cell sliding up 81 just to my east, literally a 1/4 mile. This NE trajectory usually leads to heartbreak for me.
