The model that's had the worst looks at 500mb just got markedly better. Don't care at all about the surface at this early stage.

That was a big step towards the euro. Much better at H5. There's a incremental trend for better interaction going for 4 runs now.

This is insane.

It's rare indeed. But possible in intense systems that are maxing out near our latitude. Because the rain snow line is drawn tight to the actual low center in those cases. This has that rare potential.

That seems to be the key for this at the moment. Would love to see other guidance come around to the euro idea more starting at 12z. But at least for now, the European guidance wants nothing to do with leaving it behind. We watch.
