So far for May (through 5/14) for KMDT the average high has been 67.6 (69.9), 2.3 below normal. The average low has been 54.9 (49.2), 5.7 above normal. The mean temperature has been 61.3 (59.5),1.8 above normal. 3.93” (1.69”) of rain has been recorded, 2.24” above normal. In fact the normal precipitation for May is 3.79”, so we are 0.14” above that with half the month to go. (All normals are through 5/14) . Pro

This Sunday, Monday, Tuesday look absolutely wretched out. We basically stay between 45-55 for 36 hours with rain and showers Sunday & Monday and overcast Tuesday. Looks like we won’t touch 70 again until next Friday . Pro

Can’t wait for our area to have the improbable hot & wet summer. Yes, yes, yes....just imagine 28 straight days of highs around 94/95, lows about 80, dew points running around 75, and 16” of rain. Mosquitos growing to the size of small dogs, and unkept yards turning into mini rain forests. The inability to spend more than a minute outside before the swampass takes over. Somehow this area can pull it off. . Pro
