Looks above average here. Shooting for 90F today and the next 2 days. Already 2 of the 4 days this month have hit 90F. No mas! I want the low to mid 80s back.
glad we don't love there.

Low of 62° here this morning. Nicest morning in awhile.
Great day for mowing and any other outside activities.

I came back from my 2 weeks away to find the pool nearly 3” above the top of the skimmer.

LOL.
Finally heading home--at least for 36 hours. Upgrade, ftw.
Just entering NE now--Looks like some decent storms--mostly north if IAD fortunately where I'm making my connection. Excited to see the family, the Pit, and to mow the lawn.

I’m completely out of the loop if anything weather related. I did learn one day thing today which is MO doesn’t have much going for it. Somewhere over NV now on my way back to SFO. Only 3 more nights until I’m back in my own bed.

We’ll taunt you in January.
Man that’ll kill me. Figuring things out in this side. It might be something where I’m out every other week. We’ll see...,might be one of the deals with me having so many FF miles that I won’t want to go anywhere.

Hey weenies. Just wanted to pop and say a quick hello. Spending more time in CA than home of late. Not expecting that to change doo, but am looking to be back st the pit come late Friday night. Enjoy the rains.

A couple of COC days in store, ftw. Soak in the dry 70's the next couple of days.

Lots of bears this year! Fun to watch but makes me a little nervous about kids playing in the back yard.
I need to start carrying my camera every time I go outside.

I havent seen them personally but 1/2 mile down a lady took a pic while they ravaged her birdfeeder. I nervous too with a 2yr old and two small dogs that have their own dog run. I hope they are smart enough to run back inside if a bear approaches.
Dogs are very good at keeping bear at bay.

I had 7 dead trees cut down near the house. 10 cord of huge oak and maple. Dead trees are way in the backyard and across the street in the woods.
Nice--all split and stacked?

Refreshing breeze has kicked in, clouds thinning, COC afternoon en route.

So much cooler with the torrential rains this morning, ftw.
Something interesting as shown on radar and from what came through.......the lightning is taking place on the back edge of these showers coming through with nada on the front. Regardless, that was the only thing notable about the lightning aspect.....the rains were extremely heavy. We'll see if we get any more or if that's it.

Aside from its hardness, the water from our well is awesome. I guess we tap into some type of spring that emerges down the hill. The pressure's okay unless someone's in the shower which really usurps a lot of the oomph. I love come in up to Pit2 though and having municipal water. The pressure in the shower is just awesome.

The paperwork says a 70ft gravel well. So not very deep.
Wow, that's pretty shallow. I think ours is 400'.

lol...I know right?
We'll see how the rain goes on Friday. I think we'll be okay through then if we watch our water use...i.e. no plant watering and cutting back on laundry. If Friday ends up negligible it'll probably get more dicey. I could really use a week long trough with a half inch every other day.
How deep's your well?

Boston with a low of 80. Yikes.
Just awful.

Never heard of municipal backup on water.
Beautiful morning at Pit2 with a refreshing breeze coming off the Kennebec.

There goes the well.
First time in 12 years here I’ve gone dry. Hopefully we rain on Friday.
Wow--that sucks!
Good luck.

92/77. Today is worse than Sunday here in Greenfield.
Not even close temp-wise up the hill. We're at 87.9, but the air is gross. Much worse than yesterday.
Heading to Pit2 in a few minutes. Hopefully it'll be different up there. It certainly was yesterday.

Lots of rumbles to the east and to the south. Looks like I'm getting a 7-10 split, ftl.
-
Up to 83.4* here at the Pit. Looks like we only had the one oppressive day (Sunday), ftw.

It was torrential here for an hour, a few minutes of hiatus and now back into rain though much less heavy. Several close CG strikes to boot. Lights going out for a minute. Resetting clocks ftl.
