  1. Pretty raw out there. Thick overcast, breezy and 47.6* at 11:00a.m. Heating for the first time of the season.
  2. Chris and others in GC are giving each other high-fives figuring this locks-in qpf jackpots all winter long.
  3. Not sure where we'll be winding up. We're not going to buy anything until we have this one sold--though we have gone to see a few spots. In the meantime, once we get things cleaned up here, I'll likely be moving up to Pit-2. Given the speed with which things (don't) sell here in western MA, I might be up in Maine for a while. I did mention to my wife that if we're in Worcester I'll need to be at more gtg.
  4. My wife pointed out today was like life coming full circle: moving belongings into storage in western Mass before moving into Worcester just like we did 17 years ago. Back then we didn't know where we were going to land. This time we have a better idea. Of course, life sometimes has other plans. 54.6 off a high of 59. Liking it.
  5. I had fully expected that when the board came back up from its hiatus the last couple of days that you would have morphed back into Winter-Blizz. Are you still living on BDL-time? 42.2*
  6. It appears anything of consequence will now be to my SE from here on out. Nice several hours though.
  7. Flash-flood warning just came over my phone. We have not yet yard-saled. We've put a number of things on Craig's List and a number of things on the road as 'free'. We're still taking stock of what stays and goes. Are you in the market for anything specific? I know the John Deere 140 will be going once we get past mowing season (it currently has 200 hours on it).
  8. With the Pit going on the market, I might find myself calling Pit2 home this winter.
  9. I was about to post that I was eye-balling about 2" based on the pool level against the skimmer.
  10. I'm not sure how it will play out for you in the east, ,but if what we have going on here vectors toward you, you'll have a while to wait for that dry air.
  11. Lots of yellows. And of course the expected drop of leaves without any color shift has started. Discovered that while mowing yesterday. I've always found it interesting that that takes place. The pool's getting closed next week--hopefully before too many of these early drops find their way in.
  12. 60.6* at 1:20. Been a while since we've experienced this. My guess is that fall will arrive like spring did this year. The winter that just kept on going with nothing blooming/leafing until May and then all hell broke lose. The good news with that was no one needed to mow until 3+ weeks after they'd typically start.
  13. Congrats on the 40's! Sitting at 63.6* under the overcast here at the Pit.
  14. I didn't realize they had a season.... http://www.foxnews.com/great-outdoors/2018/09/05/iowa-squirrel-hunter-accidentally-shoots-own-brother-on-first-day-season.html
