  1. Maybe the people who are making the decisions to close are hankering for a day off.
  2. Yeah--it ended pretty abruptly. Maybe I had needed to do a radar refresh. I'll measure for a final in a bit.
  3. Assuming we're on the same trajectory, I think it'll be a race against time. Could be close though.
  4. It's ripping--we'll certainly be pulling out a 5-spot. Doubt we have the duration to eek out a 6.
  5. I can imagine the posts I'd be making if I were still out there this morning......
  6. Thanks, Ray--could 'state of the world' at this lead time. I was just thinking about what type of an early season pack we might have laid down if these first two events hadn't been washed away a couple days after they've fallen. We'll likely be starting from 0" again next week. Ugh.
  7. Nice call for my hood, Kevin. My wife will be a little peeved.....she asked if she should be putting her car in the garage and I had told her it wouldn't amount to much. At the rate things have gone and looking at the radar, I might wind up with 6". Could be two events in a row that I hit warning criteria with advisories--one for 18". LOL
  8. Over-performer here in ORH. A few inches down and coming down at a good clip. Snow caked to trees......I miss my former landscape in that type of situation.
  9. You know it's bad when the pattern thread devolves into a conversation around birth control.
  10. I have to think this antecedent warmth will limit some of the accumulation. It's still 50* here.
  11. Reference to the quality of the thread.....not the date. Eagerly awaiting to drop back into the 40's......
  12. Do you mean "thread"? I think you do....keep in mind that mine explicitly stated it was a pre-season warm-up. This one is pure mid-season disaster.
  13. LOL--I was thinking of that. What a hoot that was.
  14. 1-2", locally up to 4". Says 'minor' to all, and that's what the vast majority will have.
  15. Well the advisories seem warranted, even if the end result is meh. I wonder how fast it will melt at the end of the week compared to what we just experienced. Pack establishment fail.
  16. For Ginx. https://www.foxnews.com/us/75-foot-wave-recorded-off-california-during-last-months-bomb-cyclone
  17. Wasn't his tv appearance about this just a week ago?
  18. This may be one of those rare congrats RI and NL County deals.
  19. Okay---based on how this thread has turned sums up the excitement for this system. Have a good night folks.
  20. given the dearth of NAM comments, it either sucks and/or others are getting it as slowly at Tidbits is posting it.
  21. Tornado outbreaks. Severe droughts are a close runner-up.
  22. ZFP, fwiw. Tuesday Night Rain likely with a chance of sleet in the evening, then snow likely with a chance of sleet after midnight. Snow and sleet accumulation around an inch possible. Much cooler with lows in the upper 20s. Northwest winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation 70 percent. Wednesday Snow likely. Additional light snow accumulation possible. Much cooler. Near steady temperature around 30. West winds around 5 mph. Chance of snow 60 percent.
