  1. Next week reminds me of like mid July or August. Have a cold front moving across the country with little relief behind the front lol...the cool air stays across the International border lol
  2. I have not taken a look yet, but I am not surprised. I was liking the look of 12z models but as Scott said, the timing needs to be worked on.
  3. some nice flashes of lightning!
  4. wonder if you'll get hail. I bet you see hail in like 30 seconds
  5. Nice hail core over Westfield. This is such BS. Take two weeks off work to storm chase and we get NOTHING...go back to work this week and all hell breaks loose. I'm going outside, closing the windows in my car, and putting the heat on full blast so when I leave to go home I just bake in the car. This is absolutely ridiculous. Every freaking time. Total freaking crap.
  6. I knew this was going to happen ughhh
  7. Couldn't you just use morning soundings from models (too bad places like BDL don't have balloon launches) and then see what mixing height you would need to obtain to reach whatever the high temperature is and then kind of compare levels across an area?
  8. BDL may get 50 90F days this year. Maybe 51 if we can squeeze one out in November
  9. I wouldn't count yourself out yet. You may see later development. I think you're fine.
  10. Looks like this will be even farther northern than anticipated today (another indicator the front has slowed). Should see a nice cluster evolve across central Vermont and move across central New Hampshire and southeast Maine. Probably going to be more isolated and very pulse south of there.
  11. Storms rapidly developing up north now that the MLCIN has been eroded.
  12. It was like Kevin with four legs
  13. Let's cook that atmosphere. They going to het rocked up north though. Microburst composite
  14. Unfortunately, won't be able too today. Down in southern CT but I'll be back in Springfield around 6:00 so I'll catch whatever comes around there). I will probably go out and about Saturday and Sunday.
  15. Talk about this WATCH LIKELY HAHAHAHA
  16. If you move too far South, eventually you end up North.
  17. Our dog was super upset yesterday because we couldn't go outside to play. I didn't want to risk it at all. One day last year we were outside playing and it wasn't even a hot or humid day. He just ran towards the door, kind of stumbled inside, and became disoriented for a bit. It scared the heck out of me.
  18. Fair enough. As much as I really do love the heat/humidity there is certainly a limit to where it becomes unbearable.
  19. was just looking at that, it is really slow.
  20. Yeah I'm feeling a little better about Springfield tomorrow. May see stuff start to blossom around the Pike then drift south and organize. One spot that may be pretty good is far northeast CT, northern RI, and interior NE MA. Could see some enhanced shear there and increasing the potential for hail.
  21. Yes, just east of Troy is great. It's very flat and open with little traffic (Troy itself though can get a little congested). I would target east of Troy along Route 7. Sometimes these storms can blow up across S VT and that goes directly into southern Vt.
  22. Seems like guidance has slowed the front some, no? Might help reduce the disconnect between the stronger bulk shear and the front. The bulk shear isn't amazing but enough for storms to become organized.
  23. and its only June 20. Amazing to think we still have another 2+ months of this. This is exactly how summer should be, too bad it couldn't start by like mid-May though.
  24. CT is going to get pounded tomorrow.
