  1. What I usually do around here is basically find an open field or like a golf course. But it's not technically chasing, I don't chase after the storms...usually get to a spot before the storms get there. But this is why I love BDL...offers a great view on the western horizon. When I go elsewhere in the region...NY or PA then we try and pick a location within a radius where things look "good" and just hope and pray something comes close by lol.
  2. Agreed, you can start seeing signs of that type of pattern setting on guidance
  3. I'll say though, I think I had a bit of a different mindset on this then I did yesterday. Based on the synoptic look, I am not sure if the placement or even strength of the ULL will matter all too much in terms of sensible weather. We are going to see a flow off the water with sufficient lift so I think it will be wet, just a matter of whether its widespread inches of rain or something less. This is where strength/placement will have the biggest say.
  4. PWAT anomalies +2-3 SD...Monday/Tuesday we may need a boat. We'll see if this signal remains through tomorrow nights runs
  5. I celebrated entering the month of May by installing the living room and bedroom AC's last night. It feels great to install early, Kevin is such a phenomenal role model. Leaves blossoming, ACs in the window, sweatiness when you're outside...it's the greatest time of the year and we've made it.
  6. How often have we seen things "cave" in this range only for there to be a trend back in the opposite direction inside D4-5? This very well could happen, we've seen it before this time of year, but this is an anomalous evolution with more than one feature. Any subtle difference in evolution could have a vast difference on sensible weather.
  7. Let's not count our chickens before they shit. We're still in the range where there is a tendency for models to overstate some of these features.
  8. ughhh what a HORRIFIC pattern. If that verifies I'm giving myself swirlies in dirty toilet water and get myself dizzy enough to where I become unconscious until June 1
  9. Imagine if we had that look in August or September
  10. Is it worth it? Based on from the features available I'm leaning towards it is. I saw they just added the ability to check view METARS and recently they added hodographs and there was something else really cool.
  11. it has so many cool features. but I would definitely use it when it comes time to storm chase soon
  12. Does anyone here have the pro 2 subscription for Radarscope? I'm super tempted to upgrade to it.
  13. I know weather.cod.edu has it but only for I think the NAM/3km and only for special sectors (they’ll be like green dots on the regional selection).
  14. Think there was a brush fire on 291 around exit 4 on the eastbound side. Saw smoke and several police cars and fire truck…though I didn’t see any fire. Maybe they got it out
  15. It's just annoying because it blows my pens off my notebook then opens the notebook and blows the pages...that is really annoying when writing. But at least it isn't a cold wind.
  16. This wind is annoying...I don't want to locate inside though ughhhh
  17. I could see BUF ripping a 60-65 knot wind report later today with those line of storms later on
  18. Be even nicer out when these temperatures become the dewpoints
