  1. Yeah, I was watching all that rain on radar. Didn't think it would make it over to me in Hickory, but I had over half an inch of rain when I checked the gauge this morning. It's been quite wet here too lately, though nothing compared to the immediate foothills. Sent from my 6045O using Tapatalk
  2. Whoa! Brick is back! Looking through Carolina blue glasses, but back nonetheless. Sent from my 6045O using Tapatalk
  3. Crazy severe storm rolled through around 1 AM here. 1.25 inches of rainfall in about 30 min. Tons of lightning. Sent from my 6045O using Tapatalk
  4. I'm keeping my options over. Greenville, Columbia, and Franklin are all options depending on the weather of the day.

  6. The recent wet weather for WNC continues and I see no signs of it backing down. I'm loving this typical spring. Already got over 0.40 inch for today, and I expect another half inch or so overnight. A slow, steady, soaking rainfall. The best kind. Robert's writeup last night was quite encouraging for the foreseeable future. Sent from my 6045O using Tapatalk
  7. May we also be wary. But too much wariness will often produce weariness. Worry leads to anxiety leads to sleeplessness leads to...
  8. You can view a total eclipse with the naked eye. No special viewing apparatus needed. The stars will appear when it reaches totality. You should not look at any partial eclipse with the naked eye, so you might want a welding mask to watch as it approaches totality. Sent from my 6045O using Tapatalk
  9. Carolina shot themselves in the foot with their horrible FT shooting. Tatum was amazing in 2nd half. Allen and Kennard were on fire too. Sent from my 6045O using Tapatalk

  11. Nice pic, burns. Banner Elk did much better than Burnsville. Went to circus this past Saturday in Charlotte. First time in 20+ years. Also last time, I suppose. It was a really good show. Hope you enjoy. Sent from my 6045O using Tapatalk
  12. Yeah, Tapatalk no longer works for me either. Uninstall and reinstall made no difference.
  13. No, you're not wrong. That's a rough estimate of the cost, but it's still the entry-level model. I wasn't even considering the $20 - $30 temperature gauges that you can purchase, but you may have better interpreted his request.
  14. The vantage vue isn't entry level? It's their least expensive model. Sent from my 6045O using Tapatalk
  15. Just. Wow. He didn't ask for your personal philosophical reasoning over why his purchase was wrong. Now, to the posters question: I have owned a Davis Vantage Vue for several years and have been very happy with the purchase. I would definitely recommend their products. 16. Here's a short video of the snowfall around my house in Hickory, NC. (Click the settings and choose HD for best quality.)
  17. ^ Great video, MM. Thanks for sharing. 26.6 F at 1:00 PM. Only got down to 12.8 F last night. I was little surprised it didn't get any colder.
  18. Down to 14.7 here. Gotta catch up on some sleep now. This week of tracking wore me out. Sent from my 6045O using Tapatalk
  19. Play by play. Basically, providing information about what the model shows as it is coming out. Sent from my 6045O using Tapatalk
  20. Agreed. We have been unable to make snowmen, to make snowballs, or to get any epic sledding runs due to the very powdery nature of the snow. But, I'm not going to complain about that when I know others would take any type of snow that they could get. I feel bad for you guys to the south and east. Lots of disappointed kids over those ways, I would imagine.
  21. Only if RAH creates it. Sent from my 6045O using Tapatalk
  22. It was fantastic! I was out in it when you asked the question. Couldn't believe how hard it was snowing again. Anyway, just a few light flurries left here. I'm calling it at 8.5 inches on the deck and 10 inches in the grass. I'm sure I might have lost a little due to compaction, since I didn't use an official snow board, but I think that's a good measure of how deep it is here. Just an amazing sight to see! What did you end up with?
