  1. Jokes on you. I didn't even go to prom. Best decision of my life. Parents paid for my year long golf membership instead. Year >> 4 worthless hours.
  2. Probably. Will hold for now though.
  3. "which is hopeful." I think a lot of people are just done with the cold and snow. More so than other years. Couped up indoors all the time and can't have any gatherings. Winter can end tomorrow and I'd be happy because it means golfing, fishing, and yard work. Seriously though, the Euro op has three uninteresting >1000 mb lows passing the region. Stat padders if anything.
  4. 36-hours of mood flakes. Whee! If I put down ice melt first, I wonder if I'll even have to shovel.
  5. Region wide 3-6"....time for spring.
  6. Should we be concerned that the mid-level centers track up the St. Lawrence/don't really exist? Looks like we're really only relying on WAA for this one. Edit: suppose 925 wraps up over ACK maybe.
  7. Yep. Just took the trash out. Starting to get crusty.
  8. Same up here. Quick shower earlier when it was 30 F on car thermometer was all liquid
  9. I think like half decent rule of thumb is to go colder at the surface, but warmer aloft with overrunning events. I've seen it posted many times "Sleet is closing than you think" or something like that and its often true.
  10. https://www.weather.gov/hgx/ 1/8" apparently
  11. 2" is criteria for a warning. Surprised its that much honestly
  12. We had two icing "events" a couple years back here in Nashua. Both of them approached 0.25" accretion on trees and lines. That's it for my ice experience. Roads were fine for most part. (but then again, I saw the ice and didn't go anywhere) Of course all this ice talk is likely useless because 9.5/10 times it ends up as sleet or plain rain.
  13. And by crossed my radar I mean they were on the news
  14. I grew up in Brockton. So an ice storm was a foreign concept to me. The only ice storms that crossed my radar were 1998 and 2008.
  15. Don’t you know that big ice is anything greater than 0.01”?
  16. Perhaps I shall rake my roof this weekend ahead of all the crippling ice, sleet and rain next week.
  17. Anyone notice the GFS rains on Monday prior to Tuesday storm?
  18. Always impresses me how quickly a pack can disappear when its 25F and sunny with low dews.
  19. Agreed. I read Hippy's post and my first thought was "probably just north"
  20. I'll take my chances with last nights Euro. Of course I can't see soundings. So no clue if there's a sneaky warm layer.
