  1. Looks like the central/northern mtns and foothills are cashing in so far. .73 already
  2. Could have some nocturnal storms anchor along the Blue Ridge tonight with the NE flow.
  3. Must have been a nasty storm while I was at work. 1.32 in 45 minutes with some leaves and limbs down.
  4. Ended up with .13. I won't complain if we stay dry this week
  5. We got missed mostly today but picked up .07.
  6. I have over 5 inches this month. Another above average rainfall month and tomorrow looks stormy too
  7. We just can't seem to escape the rain this month. .27 from a brief heavy shower
  8. Northern mountains not even a trace. Even northern McDowell has little to nothing while I have gotten .30 today near Marion.
  9. I figured as much. Weird weather overall this summer.
  10. F3 tornadoes in NC in July have to be really rare right? And probably even more so without a tropical system.
  11. West Asheville got hit pretty good, no rain gage but I would say at least an inch of 1.5. Just a trace in Marion today.
  12. Yeah this is the worst smoke we have had this summer.
  13. Another monsoon and decent storm. Over an inch of rain and still raining. Puts my 5 day total at close to 4 inches... got standing water in the yard. Rarely happens in July.
  14. Crushed again in McDowell. Closing in on 2 inches today from a severe storm to go with the .78 from yesterday evening.
  15. Some places south of me have 2 or 3 inches. I have .78 with some light rain still. Constant thunder since 8 pm.
  16. We are getting rocked this evening. Already half an inch and more to come it appears. Lots of thunder.
  17. I just want watermelons. They don't like long dry spells but when it's harvest time it's better to be dry.
  18. Its usually not that dry but slightly dryer than areas like SW McDowell and up near Linville. Some years storms roll off Mt Mitchell and comes right over central McDowell. That hasn't been the case this year so far. Regardless, the Euro is not doing well with summer thunderstorms this year.
  19. I think every time I post about it being dry I get flooded. We have almost 2 inches today and still raining
