  1. Yeah I noticed that cold shot is looking pretty weak now. Mostly just a big low and lots of wind. I don't know if we get a hard freeze before Thanksgiving.
  2. Got down to 32 with frost. Way colder than forecasted
  3. .97 today. Most rain in 24 hours since Helene.
  4. Had a light frost last night at 35. May not make it out of the 40s tomorrow with an inch or more of rain. Long range looks interesting for cold air and freezes. Could be some NWFS in the mountains too.
  5. Nice rainy day made it finally feel like fall.
  6. Steady light rain. Already up to .23 for the day. Models have shifted heavier rain this way tomorrow evening and we could get 2-3 inches now.
  7. Looks like there could a decent cold shot around the middle of the month. Question is.. how far SE will it get.
  8. I seem to remember 2019 being similar and we all know what a shitshow that winter was
  9. Heck even upslope folks who used to get 100+ seasons regularly are getting half that and less.
  10. We haven't had a hard freeze yet. May not until Thanksgiving...
  11. November is almost definitely going to be way above average. This winter will likely follow suit. Any snow outside the mountains will be thread the needle type deals per usual. Most of the foothills and western piedmont of NC are already in their longest snow drought in recorded history.
  12. Full on summer thunderstorm now
  13. Rain drought is over! Coming a nice shower.
  14. Lots of records being broken lately. Longest snow drought (will be 3 years in January) most rainfall in a month, highest river gauges in history, and now working on the longest stretch with no rainfall in history.
  15. 3 nights in a row of 32 or lower.
  16. Got down to 30 at the house with heavy frost.
  17. They globals did great with it. The ICON actually had the best track from days out.
  18. Shhh, I don't want to mow again
  19. Its chilly and windy today. Feels like November or December. Glad the skeeters will meet their end tonight
  20. Went up to South Toe and areas of Yancey and Mitchell today and I can't even speak of the devastation. South Toe River as many of us know it and love it is gone.
  21. The entire month of October could have no recorded rainfall for some foothills areas if the GFS and Euro are correct. It’s nice to dry out but the dust is awful from all the mud drying up.
  22. FEMA is supposed to check the damage to our farm equipment and mowers but hasn't reached out. I know some people who they have already done inspections with. It seems hit and miss
