That is becoming a major concern. It will turn into freezing drizzle until the main show arrives later. Could cut down on ZR totals at least.

Verbatim the NAM is a sleet and ZR storm incoming. Look at these temps in CAD areas. It's still building in at this point too.

Glad I got that generator. Folks we are in big trouble in the foothills. We will have some of the coldest temperatures and the CAD will not erode easy. If sleet doesn't save us, we are staring down the barrel of the worst ice storm in at least 50 years. I'm going to do some research later on ice storms to see what I can find. December 2002 was mostly sleet/snow for us.

No matter what happens, it's good to see the forums back alive again. This place means a lot to me and even though I disagree with folks from time to time, I enjoy riding this Rollercoaster with you all. The worst thing for me would be these forums not being here anymore due to lack of use. So my message for the newbies and some who have been gone and just checking back in is- stay a while. Keep contributing.

It's so obvious right under our noses the entire time. Companies need more revenue so they payed ECMWF, GFS and others to show a huge snow storm to get people buying groceries, generators, etc. They forgot to pay the UK Met office and Canadian office (or the tariffs got them)

Most models have that piece of energy, but it's strung out and probably too warm for anything except rain or mix

Just want to avoid long term power issues with 2 kids. Helene was tough enough for all of us.
