  1. During that stretch last week BDL was 80/75/79/80. Thats the warmest place in SNE. Its ok, not every cool shot is turning into low to mid-80s ;).
  2. You just can't avoid it when he says every time people mention 70s it's really low to mid 80s....then you look it up and find most of the days last week had highs in the 70s for him.
  3. Last week the Tolland Stem had 5 days that had highs below 80.0F. You mean like all those days that were in the 70s we're really low to mid 80s? You were probably even cooler.
  4. Hill top temps at night and valley temps by day...it's always warm somewhere. 51F OWD. This morning was cool up north in the valleys. 45F MVL 43F BML 38F SLK
  5. High of 74F under partly sunny skies in the valley...tourists out in full force and lots of talk about how nice the weather was. Didn't hear one complaint about the lack of dews and high heat ;).
  6. Today is another one...upper 60s and low 70s right now up here while a large portion of SNE looks to be heading decently into the 80s. Obviously we will have some differences of opinion on sensible weather if you are somewhere that is 71F with a breeze, vs. 80-85F already at noon and climbing.
  7. Haha, I think everyone tries to keep reality in here a bit. When it looks hot, it looks hot. When it looks nice, it looks nice. I don't spend a lot of time looking at the day 7-10 stuff in the summer at all. My weather is also quite a bit different from that down in CT, so its hard to compare sometimes. Lots of times Kev is humid with dews in the 60s while we are 75/53 up here. The highest average maximum at MVL is 82F I believe in mid-summer. We do get a lot of highs in the 70s during the summer so its not like its a cool pattern...just very enjoyable weather for doing outside recreation. Yesterday is a prime example... lots of warm readings of 90F at BDL, 88F at CON, and the high up here was 78F. Of course our opinions will be different when we get those types of days.
  8. Yeah when I was at the gym this afternoon they had The Weather Channel on a couple TVs forcing me to watch endless Local on the 8's and the entire forecast didn't have a high temperature of 80F or above. Highs of mid to upper 70s with lows upper 40s to mid-50s. NWS forecast for town has 77F as the highest temperature in the next 7 days. We've been getting the moisture when the higher dews advect northward but a dry pattern smacks of W/NW flow instead of S/SW aloft. Perfect Chamber weather for the 4th too... highs in the lower 70s in the valleys and mid-50s at the picnic tables under sunny skies. Independence Day.... Mostly sunny, with a high near 73. Northwest wind 5 to 8 mph.
  9. Thankful for any dryness Mother Nature sends our way.
  10. Need a refresher on global warming? Ha, it's been below normal in recent months, and no one expects it to be normal or below all the time. I do agree some above normal warm in mid-summer month is seasons in seasons.
  11. What amazing sleeping weather. 43/43 with patchy ground fog when I woke up. Today is going to be a beauty with these low dews. SLK with a min of 34F, wonder if they frosted.
  12. I'd be very impressed if you reach 88-90F. You could barely do it in this recent set-up
  13. Glad we don't live there.
  14. I honestly never even looked at the upcoming system so can't comment... I'll have to defer to ORH/Will on the first part of that post but that sounds like a salesman talking ;).
  15. ... "Its coming back to the river. Don't trust the models, they've had a rough go of it. I expect by 00z we'll see it start to come west and by 12z tomorrow we will all be in warning snows."
  16. Don't worry, you know it'll be 80s straight through Halloween. Plenty of warm months coming up.
  17. Funny haven't seen many posts stating that anyone is enjoying it. Must be the imagination.
  18. Yeah we'd be like -3 to -4. As it is it's been -2.5 even with the +18 and +12 days from the heat.
  19. lol I figured you were being sarcastic but couldn't pass up a reference to winter. Yeah all it takes is a few days to really warm the pool up I'd imagine if we get into a bout of HHH. Not like turning it to bath water but at least a manageable swimmable level.
  20. This is like someone saying on Thanksgiving that they may never use their snowblower at this rate ;).
  21. Yeah! Had I not been traveling I would've liked to go today. There was a big Stowe group heading south to enjoy it today, photos from friends looked real fun. Its definitely all about the atmosphere this time of year and when the weather is good, its a blast. Its more of a novelty than anything.
  22. Today was perfect weather. High of 66F this afternoon under scattered puffy Cu. Spent the night in JFK in NYC on the way home from LA area after a missed connection due to wind delay in NY yesterday. Back in BTV this morning and got a nice hike in this afternoon. Coming back to this place makes returning from vacation a little easier. The Mansfield region really greened up in the past week and driving home through the Notch I couldn't find any remaining snow...there were still a few natural drifts left last weekend.
  23. Ha, haven't really seen any pollen at all, or any bugs. Im sure they are coming through. Still pretty much stick season on the mountain but leaf out is starting to work it's way uphill.
